    Car related so thought ok to put in here.

     

    Suffice to say tomorrow is a bit of a D-day for me:shock: . I may or may not be a Corrado driver by this time tomorrow night but hopefully, fingers crossed, things will go ok:? . Will keep updated when I get home after it's all over,

    I reckon it's going to put out 210 BHP+ and stick a decent intercooler on there and you'd see 220BHP+, i.e custom front-mount, Forge / Pace Products, Pitstop Developments, Golf G60 FMIC or possibly the Jabba one, although, gains seem to be small using the Jabba one compared to the others ?

    Yeah sounds cheap mate, even if it has a Jabba charger, snap it up !

     

    Seen G60 engines go for anything between £750-£1100 so good deal methinks ? Does it come with gearbox included ?

    Yeah, cheers for that, looks like the Golk one is a Trimsport item as it looks identical to the ones I saw at Malvern on Sunday. Just a bit of a hassle, as the guy at Trimsport says he need to know the exact model number of the actual handbrake assembly in order for him to give me a correct one (3 choices of Corrado fitment available).

     

    I also quite like the MOMO metallic ones and I think someone on this forum has one fitted to their Corrado ?

    Hey all,

     

    I'm looking for an alloy handbrake handle for my Corrado. Has anyone purchased one and fitted it to their C and have a pic of it fitted ? Where did it come from and how much etc. ? Not looking for anything too chavvy just something nice and subtle to match other alloy / chrome bits in my interior ?

    Hey all,

     

    Hmmn, looks like a good quality bit of kit albeit a tad expensive in my opinion. Worth bearing in mind that I believe you can get the same sort of kit from another company for about £500 ? I managed to get my full custom made intercooler setup fabricated by Pace Products including intercooler, Mocal oil cooler and installation kit, polished alloy pipwork including Greddy 180 deg. U-bend and blue silicone hosing for £800 all in.

     

    The intercooler itself IS huge compared to alternatives available and fits neatly in front of the radiator (slam panel needed slight modification).

    Aye,

     

    That blue Mk1 was originally a left-hooker 1.6 diesel. It became Rover 3.5L V8-powered (from an old SD1) using the Rover gearbox and propshaft mated to a Sierra 1600cc rear axle. Cost the guy £500 in total :shock: Final evolution of the Mk1 resulted in it getting a BMW 3-series dash, Cossie pedal box, 5-injectors, Emerald M3 V8 Mappable ECU, Cossie diff, propshaft and rear axle, Cossie 4x4 helix clutch, Cossie brakes, Cossie LSD, 4.2L block from the Range Rover Vogue, TWO Garret T3 turbo's with homemade manifolds and a BMW 530d radiator. RR figures were around 377 BHP at 4000 rpm........

     

    Absolutely mental and I have a magazine article on it from an early issue of The Golf if anyone wants more info

    AFAIK,

     

    You need everything to retrofit electric windows. You need the switches, loom and connectors, regulators, electric window motors and the window control unit which sits behind the rear doorcard,

    I got my set from trimsport last year, they said probably wouldn't fit as I had early interior, but there was no issues at all, £18 delivered and adds a nice touch !

    Just looked through latest PVW and Golf+ mags and saw this 3-gauge panels to replace the stereo slot available from Venom Motorsport (01254 814444) £20.00 plus delivery. I believe a few other places do them as well, including Big Boys Toys, R & A Design, Performance solutions and Gwent VW etc.

    Hey all,

     

    My sister has just got herself a 2001 W registration MK4 1.6. She wants to put some alloys onto it but is not sure of the PCD / ET and which size would suit best. I was thinking she could just put a set of MK4 GTi alloys on but not sure if they are the same PCD etc. ? Also if anyone knows of any decent standard VW o r aftermarket alloys (with tyres) that would fit please let me know,
