Just had the heaters on for an hour in the car and there seems to be no lost of coolant or hot air. Any ideas guys
-
Guys, I know i have checked through all the threads and cannot find how to check if the heater matrix is gone!!! Car has been parked for about a month and today the whole passenger footwell and rear was flooded. Started the car and the heater's are blowing hot air with no problems on all the settings. I have read it could be to do with the Heater Scuttle 'Foliage Cover' Seal, i have poured water over the area and checked for leaks under the glove box, but cannot see anything. Checked door membranes all fine. A bit buffled where the water has come from. All advise appreciated.

Got it fitted today adn the guys had no problem with the lamda. The pnly prob was ot was slighlty short. So had to cut a piece from the CAT. But now there is definately a difference and really kicks off after 3000 revs.

Will be getting the cat fitted on saturday 28th, so will let u guys know the difference. I bought it from awesome GTI store for £73 including VAT and postage. Need to get the gasket and clap from vw which in total will cost you about £12.

Hi Guys Got the following prob: - Leads and plugs all changed pretty recently It's missing like no-ones business and the exhaust is absolutely honking of fuel most markedly after start up. It's idling fairly roughly/noisily. The whole car shakes. Also the exhaust seems to be getting very hot, it "tings" like hell after any kind of running and the centre consol gets pretty warm too !! Taken it to the local VW specialist and says it an internal engine problem??? Please advise

Seems find in his eyes and advised changed the oil temp switch and see if there is a difference, due to it being a 10 yr old motor. So gna pick up a oil temp switch and see if there is a difference. Il keep u updated :)

-
Alright lads, jus an update As my corrado is only a weekend car, ive left it ticking in the drive way for aby 30 - 40 min. The oil temp reached 104 degrees and the water was dead on 100 degrees. is dat normal for a stationary motor jus ticking in the driveway??????
-
lol Cheers for your suggestions, jus wna know how wud i know if the thermostat or oil temp switch is kapuuuut. Dnt wna buy the parts and find out the original were ok!!
-
the fans work fine and the level of oil is correct, there's no leaking as ive checked underneath the car!!!
-
Hi Guys, I've just changed the oil on the VR6 and used silver syntha from the dealers. Before i did the oil change the temp reading was showing in the region of 100 - 105 driving local. But now after the oil change its showing 116 and when its stationary goes down to 110. Checking the last service the dealers used mobil. Can this be due to the difference of oil. Please advise.
