Mine is a second car so I could sit on it in till I got the price I wanted, but I think some people let them go cheaper so they can get their money out them towards their next car. Two big mistakes buyers make are thinking a car is great because it has low mileage and also buying just because it has a Storm badge, always always buy on history and condition.
-
Ive stuck a Voo Doo badge on my gear box as its colour black magic Im hoping to retire lol !
-
The car looks great in the photos but if you add all the repairs that need doing and also most things were done nearly 10 years ago from what the advertisement says, I think the original seller sold it at the correct price, the new seller is a bit of a chancer by the looks of it, I wonder if it is the same seller who keeps on buying the Mk2 16V golfs then adds a few k on them the next day and puts them on ebay . The thing is I wouldnt be surprised if someone purchases it and not been realistic in the repair costs.
-
Possibly the MFA function to . Also check that the fog light and the ambient sensor plug have not been mixed up.
-
They do , there is one on amazon for £29 and free delivery but coming from abroad with a long wait ! I find if these sort of companies based in Lithuania/ Latvia etc are getting them from a source somewhere , you just got to find that source and go direct.
-
No worries mate the dealers still have a fair few of the sensors knocking about.
-
Hi J, Is this the sensor that gives the the external temperature to the MFA , If so number 11 on the diagram part number 357919379A link below. http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/COR/year/1995/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/919/subcategory/212010/part_id/3690238/lang/e#sec_14 They are on ebay from foreign sellers if you put the part number in , try the dealers first you never know as a few vag models shared this part, Mk3 golf and more.

Good stuff lads this one will get sorted.
-
I have a brand new one in the package mate purchased recently from VW classics. I can dig out the receipt and you can have it for what I payed + postage if you like. Also has the rubber stop , does not include the housing.
-
Ok I will do mate but been selfish I'll post in a month or so as my car is going into the body shop in the next few weeks, hope you don't mind. Post it as Midlands Meet.
-
Ok good info let us know how you get on, that Johns pump might be quality and just called Johns to sell a different a quality brand on a budget, this is happening a lot in the automotive world.
-
Thanks MOO much appreciated and yes catch up soon.
-
Good stuff MOO Im well up for this !!! Do you want to start the thread and see if there is any interest as it was your idea for a meet up and dont want to nic the idea. I have seen a lot of Midland owners post on here so should be able to get the numbers up and its a nice day out is Stratford.
-
Can we clarify you are fitting the Johns pump with your spare VDO sender VR6 South ? Also when JP said the pump was not suitable was that because it was a 3 bar or because it is not suitable for a Piersberg early pump set up. Cheers.
-
For me I opted for the original 4 Bar VDO pump , Mister auto off ebay is doing them for £160 I think, or you could give that Farmer Johns special a go.
-
Euro carparts advertised as 4 bar but I was suspicious, called Bosch and hey presto no it is 3 bar do not use.
-
Would it be a good venue for a Rado meet up MOO ?
-
Worth every penny good luck in your sale if anyone mentions the mileage tell them its just a number.
-
Will def post a thread on a meet Jayce. I do believe there are quite a lot of Rado owners in the Midlands, there is a Khaki 16V one in my home town and the women always pulls me over and says get your Schrick out lol. Body work Front and rear arches slight bubbling Car park door dings Rear Reg light trim new and spray, also bit of rust in that area Better finish on the under bonnet cutout that was originally cut to allow for the bonnet to close over the Schrick variable manifold. Door hinges because have a bit of sag. Very slight bubbling on internal drivers door sill Here's my motor if you want a butcher J. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?109949-Black-magic-returns-home&highlight=black+magic

Rob I called Bosch about that pump it is 3 bar, no good mate leave alone.
-
Well lets sort something out but Im looking more like July in till Ive sorted out my body work. Ill post something up in a month or so see if the numbers will gather, and Im sure the facebook crew can pass on the message .
-
I've never been their mate so would like to give it a bash later this year, maybe the Corrado GB members can sort out an open day there for none members as well and do a bit of networking, but primarily to show off the cars to the world . Centrally based in the UK.
-
Yes Rob just the pump if you have the late sender. VW Heritage must of used the VDO sender with their JP pump and sender kit for sale. Not sure why they don't just sell the VDO original set up as you can get it for £191 + Vat and £61 + Vat from VDO HQ Birmingham , this works out cheaper then the JP less quality set up. Rant over.

Saw that Red Rado with the dealer body kit looks a very clean car ! Ive got to sort the body work on mine VR first but I'm based in Birmingham and will be up for a Midlands meet in a couple of months . Anyone been to Caffine and machine in Strattford Upon Avon , my mate has a Harley and he wants me to follow him in the Rado ha. Would be a good central location for a lot of members. https://caffeineandmachine.com/
