would any of the blades work on the corrado? The system VAG use is a bosh system so it could well be that ford use the same one. I know the aero wipers were invented by bosh.

Ok am not sure about this. I have a photo of the ignition plug. Does anyone know what each wire is for. I know the red one is +12V but i have no idea what he others are.

Yeah that is what i was thinking. What i was planning on doing was rigging up a hot wire. to see if that was the cause of the problems. What i was looking for is the which circuts i need to make to get ignition, and which circuit i need to make to get the starter to turn over. Thansk G

I am having some ignition problems with my car at the mo. I think it is a short circuit somewhere in the steering col wires. Would any one happen to know the pin outs for the three plugs in the steering col. The main one being the one to the ignition barrel. it is a 1990 1.8 16v. Any help would be great, as I am flying blind ( and car less ) at the mo. Cheers G

Yeah, The rules are pretty open. All air entering the engine has to pass through a 20mm restrictor ( must be upstream of any chargers). That means that power tends to be around 80 bhp ( there have been some teams with over 100 but the curves are never nice then). The great thing is you can make the car as light as you like. With a bit of reliability this year we should have a very quick car. G

Hey Guys, Thought some of you might be interested in this. I don’t know if any of you have heard of formula student. It is a competition for engineering students at university. We are tasked to design a single seater race car to compete in a nation wide competition. I am on the LUmotorsport team ( http://www.lumotorsport.co.uk). I know it is quite early but I would like to invite all corrado owners who are interested to come to the event. It is held at bruntingthorp. It is free. We are really needing some support this year. How did you fix this? Mine is doing the same thing only this is I have not got to a stage of it blowing every time I put a new one in. I am thinking that it is spoiler related as every time it goes the spoiler is half way up. Any ideas on how to sort this. It is getting very annoying now Cheers G

GSF has a special on brembo discs at the mo. they were the same price as the std ones. have just fitted them. very nice G

The speed rating is for a constant speed tho. So it is not not critical as the C will not do much more than 140 ish. G

I was driving along and all of a sudden my rev counter water temp and fuel gauge have gone out. This has happened a few times now. There does not seem to be a paten to it. The only thing I can see is that the spoiler always seems to be half way up when the fuse blows. I replaced the fuse with a new 15 amp fuse and all is right again. I would not think any thing of this normaly but it has happend a few times in the last few months. Anyone have any ideas. Cheers G

I have been told that when you disconect the ISV while the engine is running it should carry on running. On my car when i unplug it the car just die's. even if i unplug it with the engine not running and then try and start it it wont start. Is this normal. Could it be another fault. G

Ohh yes. That is the greatest smell in the world. I love it. I found a few bottles of it at a bike jumble last year. My dad put some in his elan. It smells sooooooo good. all oil should smell like that. G

I was driving thu manchester the other day and come to some lights. next thing i know is there is a 16v C pulled up next to me. I look across and nod at the driver who turns out to be as chav as they come. He then started yelling abuse at me. I gave him the finger as the lights turned green and floored it. I look in my mirror and it seems he stalled it at the lights. That really made my day. But the real point here is....... People please stop selling your C's to Chav kids. :D G
