Is there any difference between the 1.8 16v front brakes and the G60 ones? Can I fit a G60 system to my 16v? Will it improve the brakes. Thanks G

yep then mine is leather. but it is 4 spoke not 3 spoke.

Hey yeah I blead the brakes but the pedal feel is not much better. there was very little air in the system. rear brakes are good and working. handbrake needs fixing. I reckon new discs and pads on the front will be the ans. I think the biggest problem is all the other cars I drive are brand new (except the lotus which is but isn't) and they all have decent brakes. I would like to get a sort of TT type brake feel but at very little cost.

bighairymuppet, Also only have 1.8 16v. I will be looking into it :). What car was the 6L V12 in? I love the torque got from the big lumps such as V12 V8 and W12. All very awesome.

Henny, What sort of torque are/were you getting out of your lump. Also what was the curve like. you wouldn't have a plot of it would you? :) What can be done to make the 1.8 16v more tourquey for as little cash. G

you should be able to uprate ( or get and uprated ) haldex diff to cope with the Torque. I will dig out a book I have on diffs and have a look. G

:offtopic1: I don't know about my wheel. I think it is leather but they were not an option on my car AFAIK. How do you tell. I know this is off topic........ Sorry :offtopic1:

It is a class day out. Did you dress up? Last year if you dressed in period clothes you got into the paddock free Pls post pic's as i didnt go this year

Should I only buy genuine ones or can I go for the German and Swedish ones.

I am using 15W50 and rate it as the best oil i have ever used. go for it as it work well in a slightly worn engine. G

that is a long time for it to be in there with out it making a noise. What ever the case i think it is safe to say that he has been very lucky this time round

Ok so the bolt will heat up very quickly but on every stroke i would have thought that it would do something different. It wouldnt have welded its self to the head would it?

But surly after each ignition stroke the bolt would come lose.

If it came in thur the valve surly it would have damaged the valve a bit. there is not a lot of time for that to drop thur
