can't remember the name of the treatment- my uncle got it for me. cheers for the link so if the gearbox mount hasn't collapsed then the general concensus would be to live with it??
-
Oh just thought. I have some transmission/gearbox treatment in the garage i haven't used yet. Should i give that a bash. If so is it easy to put it in. Where is the filler/drainer for gearbox oil thanks again guys Paul

Any ideas anyone. Started car last night, pulled out of car park to hear a whining noise when i am using the throttle and not using the clutch. If i put my foot on the clutch and let it coast the noise goes away. Also when sitting still and just rev engine (no drive going to wheels) the noise is not there. Any ideas Thanks Paul

Right i filled up with petrol tonight, jumped in the car, turned immobiliser off and turned key and all i got was ignition lights. It didn't turn over. Got out to aimlessly look under the bonnet but could hear something turning whcih sounded like a fan or a pump but was too dark to see what. During all this time the immobiliser would usually come back on but didnt'. It was almost as if it thought the car was running? after about 10mins the noise (turning fan or pump) stopped and the immobiliser cam back on. Turned it off and turned the key and nothing. Immobiliser back on again, switcked it off and it turned over and started. Does this sould like a loose connection here? If so where should i look? Thanks in advance

Need to do this as far too many clicks. Will be doing rear breaks anyway. how straight forward is it to do? thanks again PAul

I am going to do the back brakes on my corrado and have heard that if you replace the discs you must also replace the wheel bearing. Is this right? Are there any things I should know before doing this ie anything out of the ordinary with regards to removal and refitting. Not really desperate for discs to be changed but would like to know they have been done. Also was thinking of bump stops- only bottoms out with full car and not very often. Should i go ahead and do them too and if so how easy are they to replace. THanks in advance guys cheers Paul

on saturday i put the passenger side window down. when it reached the bottom i hear a big clunk. Without me pushing the button it then returns to the top. Now neither button has an affect on the window. To top it off my girlfriend closed the door when she got out and the window dropped to about half way down. Now even when i push it up it will not stay shut. THe buttons still don't work. I have tried to have a look by taking the door card off and the only thing that looks out of place is a length of rubber which looks to contain a piece of braided copper type material. One end of this goes to the window, half way along the door and the other goes into the motor i think. At the motor end there is also a spring. However this pulls right out of the motor. Should it do this, is this my problem, how do i fix it. Help cheers Paul

what annoyed me was the fact i was already their customer. I told the guy i was concerned that i had to do the shopping around to get the good quote or they would have cost me another £500! He apologised and assured me of a better quote next year. anyway a good price in the end.
-
23 with 3 years NCB and 3 points . £770 with Adrian flux on a Vr6 fully comp. They did quote £1200!!!! until i told them bell direct gave me a £800 ish quote so they knocked nearly £500 off just like that. Make sure you have a good quote to use as leaverage. cheers Paul

Ok found exactly where the water is coming into my passenger footwell i think. The water is coming in at the bottom under the speaker housing. Looks like it could be the seal down there. Any ideas? ADvice? Solutions? cheers Paul
