Ok long story, Firstly I blew my supercharger up (should I say exploded).
FridayBeing in the position I was on the road I then had to limp the car 15 miles with the supercharger spine turning and crunching against its inner parts that were wedged into the casing.
Monday I eventually got hold of someone who had a supercharger and to my luck it was probably one of the most pleasant companies I have ever dealt with PitStop Development, Littlehampton.
After changing the supercharger, pressure washing all the pipes and intercooler I had the car up and running again, I drove 10 mintues down the road and noticed the car overheating it got to about 115 in traffic so I did a u-turn got some speed on the road and cooled down the engine.
After checking the fan it appeared to not be working at all, the motor had ceased and it sounded like someone had beaten it with a baseball bat, Steve at PitStop luckily had a spare so we changed it and then noticed it was not kicking in properly at 110, so we changed the fan switch and then it kicked in.
However on my run back to Oxford the car ran all the way home at 110, 1 week prior it used to run at 70 on the motorway, I decided to change the temperature sender switch to see if it was sending me cock eyed info (the new sender unit sent my gauge right up right back down and off the back off the spindel, resulting in me taking the dash apart for 30 mins to sort this out).
Anyways the temperature is still running at 110-115 in traffic or anywhere once its up to temperature, the light comes on its all a nightmare, I am going to change the thermostat tonight and flush the coolant and replace 09/08/04, if any of you guys have any further ideas for me please help, its doing my swede in. edit. aint doing it tonight its raining cats and dogs!
Could it be the water pump not working properly? If so how do i test this?
Cheers
