A plate that I could have is V126 MAN (with the 1 and 2 close together to make an 'R'). Plenty of plates that I could have as well ie V6 MAN, V6 CMN, V6 VMN. Basically our plates have to have either 'MAN' 'MN' or MN with a letter before it, and then either numbers either side of it ie 13 BMN, XMN 123 etc or with a letter at the beginning or the end ie V126 MAN or MAN 126V. Gives you lots of good posibilities!

The Bentley manual can be bought for around £60 if that's any use?

Taking the seat out is just one bolt so you may as well - think you'll find it very hard doing it in situ. The cloths are just held on with wires and clips. Not too bad coming off but can be fiddly getting them back on.

Possibly the details of a correspondent bank in the UK ie his bank might use HSBC in London as a contact bank in the UK and they then pay the funds onto your account with whichever bank you are with. Ask yourself though - why would someone from abroad (I assume he is abroad because why would someone in the UK need to pay by wire transfer?) want to pay the full asking price for a car he has never seen! Tell him that, if he is abroad, you'll only accept cash (GBP) delivered to you by courier. You'll never hear from him again - or if you do, it will be to say that he wants to pay by Western Union.

I'd would be very wary! Heard lot's of people having concerns about very similar enquiries and worded in the same fashion. The lack of good English also hints that it's a Nigerian or someone similar. I bet he wants to pay by Western Union - I'd put money on it.

Buy new handles and transfer your existing lock barrels into the new handles. Dead easy and you could do both sides yourself, inside an hour if it's your first time.

What do you mean? Just the key barrel? Handle's with barrels in? You can either insert your old barrels into new/second hand handles or adjust a different handle to suit your key. Does this help? Probably not! :)

Got to admit that my 8v Golf would outpace the VR up to about 3k-4k revs. After that it's obviously VR without question. You sold the valver Amit, or are you keeping that as a spare/competing with Mike Edwards? lol
