Thanks mate, yeah im sad to sell it but circumstances dictate otherwise,as i say just needs a bit of tlc to get it up to scratch Hopefully someone will be interested soon Thanks -
I have for sale my corrado :( Its a 2litre 16v 1993 L reg Ive owned the car since 1998 and it has just over 97 thousand on the clock and apart from the stainless steel exhaust,it is all original It has just been mot'd a few weeks ago so not due again until october 2017 Its an honest car but being the age it is,its not perfect Could do with some paint and wheel refurb but its a runner Interior is pretty much spot on,no rips, tears, holes or anything wrong with the seats Intermittent abs light comes on,but not all the time.I suspect it could be a rear sensor.Ive recently replaced the 2 front sensors but havent got round to the rears New discs, pads, bearings on the rear just a few months ago Recent new battery Oil and filter change a few thousand miles ago New plugs just a few month ago Sold as seen to hopefully someone that will give it a good home WIll be sorry to see her go but personal circumstances have recently changed and means i have to sell If someone can give her a bit of time and tlc it will be a good little project to get her up to scratch Offers around £1300 and it is located in north east uk Thanks for looking and any questions just send a message Vehicle is now sorn'd so wont be putting anymore miles on the clock

Hey jim no not yet I wanted to avoid this as going from experience of the past 17 year,99 times out of 100,if you take something apart on a corrado, the bit will break in some form or another ,(owning a corrado never seems straight forward ),so i want the new sensor to put back in straight away as i use the car every day But even if i get the part number off it,im still none the wiser as to what the correct equivelant is
-
Im completely baffled Ive been told that many different things from different places i have contacted,i dont know which is correct I saw the bosch number on this forum 0280130040 The vw dealer told me 026906161 When i look at vw heritage i see the 026906161 number and it is listed as a meyle part, but when i got in touch with heritage they said its not listed for my car so dont know if it will fit I then look on here findpart.org/part/vag-026906161/ and find that the meyle equivalent is a different number again, this time1009060007 (which is different to the meyle part number on the heritage site) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Meyle-100-906-0007-Temperature/dp/B00HE5RX5E But it also lists the orignal vw part as the number i first had i.e 026906161 (which heritage say dont know if thats the right one) Aaaarrghhh Can anyone who has actually changed this sensor please let me know which is the correct one They vary in price also so dont want to pay the stealers £50 if i can get one for less than a tenner Thanks

Cheers glosterox,i cant find anywhere that it says its for the corrado either Saying that,if you look at that amazon one,in the description underneath says the oem part number is the same as the vw number so maybe they are the same part? Does anyone know if this is true? If so i can get one from vw heritage for just over £10

Just wondered if someone could confirm a part number for me please Its for a coolant temp sensor for a 1993 2l 16v I got the number from this thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?78199-Lumpy-when-hot-Problem-with-coolant-temp-sensor as being 0280130040,but ive just spent half an hour on the phone to the vw dealers and the guy on the phone said he had no record of this and couldnt find it anywhere Eventually he came up with this number 026906161 which when ive looked on tinternet, looks like the same part but vw want £46 plus vat for it Im guessing im lookin at the right bit for my car,is it a white 2 pin jobbie ? Can someone verify if this is the right sensor and are these 2 parts the same please and is there anywhere cheaper than £50 odd quid to buy it from? Thanks
-
No problem bud, thanks for the reply:salute:
-
Ahhh no mate, the pic wasnt my car i just grabbed it from tinternet as its too dark to take a pic of mine lol Yeah mate north east. You at durham? Dont suppose you have vagcom?
-
Thanks for the quick reply man,its been bugging the crap out of me :bonk:
-
Hi guys,a quick question.Whats this part in the engine bay? And is it anything to do with fuses/braking system? Sorry its a daft question but its bugging me  Black plastic thingameejig and seems to have a clear plastic bit on the end that hinges up and there are 2 screws inside
-
Try the Lambda sensor
-
Yeah will do mate. These look far superior than the ecp ones that i returned
-
Sorted.Picked them up from volksparts in durham today,£9 each complete with bushes, washers and nuts.Bilstein aswell so good quality
-
Ahhh the good old days ha ha.Yeah,my wheels are the same, could do with a bit of a refurb aswell
-
Kept it standard mate.Only thing thats been changed is the exhaust. The original vw one went not too long after i bought it so got stainless steel cat back scorpion one for it.Ive not even changed the wheels.Still got the estorils on.I didnt want to change anything on it.Ive had cars in the past that ive done bits and bobs to (180bhp renault 5 turbo was my baby) but i wanted to keep this standard.
-
That aint too bad.Its a bit different from the £80 per side that i was told.I think the bloke i spoke to at my vw dealers was just a bit of a tool and didnt know what the hell he was talking about.Wouldnt be the first time either
-
Maybe keep an eye on the forum mate, you may be lucky.Or put a post in the wanted section
-
Cheers joist,im going to pick some up tomorrow from volksparts but if they are not correct or i get stuck,il pm you the reg.Cheers mate Supercharged do you mean £50 each side or £50 in total for both mate?
-
Ive known quite a few mates with everything from scoobys and evos to golfs and focus st's that have had powerflow on them and never had any trouble.Strange, maybe the fitters were drinking too much of that scrumpy down in devon mate lol
-
I used to have a jetex system on a peugeut 205 gti and i hated it.While i didnt want anything boy racer loud,i did expect a little noise at least but it sounded not much different to the original peugeot exhaust.Wasnt impressed.Dunno about on the corrado though, might be a different case altogether.Ive had a scorpion on mine since i got it (14 years!) and its been fine, and sounds good. Maybe try powerflow, tend to be reasonable price and you can get them to build it to however you want within reason, amount of silencers, tailpipes, sizes etc.Make it as loud or quiet as you want
-
God only knows mate. When i questioned the price the answer was oh well if you want to keep the car on the road you have to pay the prices.Glad to say i was on the phone and not face to face otherwise he would have had to order himself an anal droplink removal tool cos i would of rammed them up his arse.Theres a line between buying a quality item and blatant blind robbery.
