That looks more like a Civic. But worse. Sports cars don't look right when they have overdosed on curvy lines, as with this concept. Thought the corrado/bora mix retained some of the aggressive lines of the original Corrado.

I wonder what people would think if veedub released this as the new C?

ah... I've seen TT competition alloys on Vr6 Golfs before tho - The PCD thing is a bit unknown to me.... Does that mean the Audi alloys would need spacers?

Slightly off C topic, but does anyone know if alloys from a 98 Audi A6 will fit my 93 Golf VR6? What is offset on Golf - is it the same as a C since running gear and drivetrain is basically the same? Head is being scratched...

I have just bought a 93 Golf VR6 and wondered if anyone knew where I could get hold of german style pressed number plates? Had a scan on Ebay, but nothing much there. Also anybody know standard performance figures of an early 93 standard 2.8 VR? Cheers, Nick

Just translated paint code of my girlfriend's 97 Golf TDI, and worked out it's mystic blue pearl. Anybody know how long VW used the colour for? Obviously used on storms, but wondered how exclusive it was to the rest of the range........ :?

Hey John, Looks like I have started something in this thread then! What happened to your other VR? I moved to the homeland of COrnwall last summer with the missus. I have now owned 2 16valvers, and am toying with idea of VR.... now they are loads more affordable! Owned a GOlf VR6 briefly 2 years back but it was a bag. Are there many C 'groupies' around here then? Nick

Hey, I had a couple of rados, one in 2000, and another in 02. Since had Golf VR6 too. Reckon I now fancy a Corrado VR6 - do any of you know how much work is likely to be needed on Greeny's VR6 for sale on the forum? ALso, when I lived in Dorset for a few years (until I came back to Cornwall last summer) I remember John Munyard organised Dorset meetings - has he still got his VR?! Cheers, Nick

Cheers for the replies guys! Looks like i have started something here...:) I drive 30 miles a day, most of it single carriageway in traffic, averaging about 45-50 mph, but cruising at about 85 for about 2 miles. I used to have a Celica GT4 turbo (really thirsty but great), now got a standard 16v 2l celica, but fancy VR6, ideally rado not Golf. I have also done my journey in a tdi golf for a couple of months (£10 of diesel = about 95-100 miles), but got bored. As long as the Corrado wouldn't be a load different to running the celica, then I seriously want to think about a VR. Having said that, none seem to come up round these parts (Cornwall/SWest). Hi, Have owned sucession of 2 16 valvers in past, now got Celica with drinking habit. If I stick in £10 i get 65-70 miles from it. Is a VR6 much heavier on fuel? If not, I have plans to look out for a sweet VR!! Thanks! Nick
