Thanks for the info and suggestions. LauraJ's is more than I'm looking to spend, although it looks a tidy one. I'm still gutted I missed the clean storm grey one on here which went a few weeks ago for sub £1500. GlosterOx, could potentially be interested dependent on price...

Looking for a VR6 in either of the above colours if anyone knows of any ;) Thanks

Gutted for you. As the others have said though, don't lose heart, it's your car and if you give up on it, it means the *******s have won. The older I get, the more I realise good people often get dumped on, and scum walk away unscathed. All I can add is karma..... Chin up, sleep on it for a few days then start to take up the generous offers of free parts on here ;)

Welcome and well done for biting the bullet! I've owned 2 Corrado valvers in the past and am getting twitchy about buying a vr6. Be good to see another Corrado on the Cornish roads!

I saw that one on eBay at the time and thought it would be a good one to keep on the road. Needs fair few bits doing though iirc? As others have said, please advertise it here first if selling's the route you're going to take. I remember on here, back in the day, that one of the owners restored a very early corrado with vinyl seat backs to a meticulous standard. Nothing to do with this one I assume? * Edit, the one restored was f240bvv and was restored in 2007 by a member called Jimmi. Just googled it on my phone, so can't post links! Wonder what happened to that one?

I take it thE nothelles are what would have been fitted to John's (Corozin)'s Corrado when it was built initially?

I've just watched Hammond road testing L866GYW again and wondered what became of the car. Is it anyone's on here?

I have recently logged back on here after a long hiatus. I originally owned my first Corrado valver in 2000, then bought another (after lots of other cars in between) in 2003. 7 years on, I see a lovely looking black/dark blue Rado in Trago Mills car park (see the spotted thread) and start to get a bit of an itch again. The problem is that although I've owned valver Rados and a VR6 Golf, as well as an obscene amount of other cars, I have never had the pleasure of owning a Corrado VR6. I need to keep my Audi A4 TDI as my daily. The Corrado would be for weekend duties, and fun only. Looking on here at the scary amount of Corrados that are now being broken, and the low, low value of some VR6's, where should I begin? I would probably not want to spend any more than £2-2500, which seems in keeping with some prices I have seen. I also like the idea of a silver VR, but they seem pretty rare. Any advice? I get the feeling owners are really struggling to sell with the crazy fuel prices. Cheers in advance. (Also extra note - are there many Corrado owners in Cornwall on here? I don't see many around any more :()

Saw this Rado on Saturday at about 10am. Not looked at them much for a long time, but this one really made me want another I've owned 2 different valvers over the years, although my last one sold about 7 years ago! Would LOVE a silver VR6 if anyone knows of any... Aaanyway, does this C (L712 HYK) belong to anyone on here?

Just found this thread after being pointed to it from retrorides (where I started a thread about Corrados!). I would just like to say, your Rado really does look perfect. Now I must resist.......buying.........one..........for the third time.....

I know it's not going to be up there with my Golf GTTdi, but does anyone know what sort of mpg to expect from a Corrado G60? Am in real need of something with a bit of 'go' and have never owned a charged dub. Also, I did have a vague idea but have forgotten - how often should chargers/belts be replaced/serviced? Rough idea of maintenance costs? By the way, I owned my first Corrado H369 RHL in 2000, and bought another in 2003, both 16v. Not been on here in ages - can't believe just how cheap Storms now are!!! . Any advice appreciated. Cheers!

Just wondered if anyone on here knew anything about this Corrado? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/793264.htm I used to own the sister car H369 RHL, and see that this one just sold 16 miles down the road from me. Still trying to trace both cars!

Hi guys, just noticed on dvla website that my old tornado red valver is no longer taxed as from end of Nov 07. It was sorned for a while before that. Anybody know of the car? It's sister is still going (H368 rhl) which was owned by same family when I bought mine. Last spotted in Dorset about 3 years ago. Cheers!

Well, looks like it is hardly worth it. Cheers for the replies, will have to stick will the old mk3 til got in excess of £2k to play with then!
-
Got a mk3 140k golf tdi at mo, and have chance to buy mk4 with 180k on the clock. No history, but low number of owners, seems ok. It's the 90bhp model. I used to have a mk4, and know that they are pretty different to the mk3. Just wondered if any of you guys owned high mile mark 4's and what the problems are with them - do they generally need work near the 200k mark? Basically, I need to know if it's worth getting shot of the scabby but reliable mk3 to replace it with a much tidier looking, but higher mileage mk4. It's a pretty good price too Cheers!

24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!

So, just reading lots of this, saw the car in PVW. Did Jay sell the J plate Corrado that he spent so much time and money on? Who has it now? Nick -
Just wondered at what point C doorcards changed from early 'switch flush in the doorcard' type to the later 'switch lower down the doorcard type? Would the cards from a 90 16V fit in an L plate VR? cheers!
-
Ok could a moderator please move this to drivetrain? Cheers!

Fair enough Tifun, you have a good point. I just wondered though why you have a bloke stood in underwear leaning on your car in your personal gallery?!

Stupid goddam yanks. Think Clarkson summed em up on TG tonight - 'don't go to America!'

Reckon this has been dealt with a thousand times, but I wasn't around to hear the answers. Will these wheels fit a Corrado VR: ET38 offset 5 stud BMW compact alloys OR THESE (9.5 J x 17 H2) & (T95717) & (LK112) & (ET35) apparently fitted to Audi S2. What about if I fit spacers? I'm confused. Ideas? (Is the offset the same on a Golf VR as Corrado VR?)Help!
