Try looking at the leads connecting to the spark plugs, i had this on one of my leads, the electric wasnt running down to the plug and earthing on the block.

Gulp, yeah its more work than i had thought actually but thanks for giving me the full low down! Andy

I'm thinking about getting a respray on parts of the c and wondered how tricky it was to do the prep work yourself? I've had a look on the search but there isnt anything definative. Wondered what the process was and how long it would take to do a bumper for instance. Was thinking about making this my summer project you see! Cheers

Wheel refurbishers.. who to use.. BJV/Purklass/Pristine
Colley replied to vwdeviant's topic in Suppliers Forum
I used BJV, they took a little while to turn my wheels around but they did a good job and very good price, I'd use them again without hesitation. -
BJV wheel refurbishing, cant recomend highly enough. A few other people have had their wheels done here as well

Done this on mine, not to hard really. If you can use up as much fuel as you can so you don’t have too much in the tank. You will need new clips really, you could maybe use the ones on there already but it would take quite a bit of fiddling around and they won’t be as strong as well. When you take the pump out it’s screwed in, so push down and turn and out it pops. Try to get the pump so that it doesn’t interfere with the thing that stays buoyant so you get an accurate reading on your fuel gauge. Any other info you might need just PM me if you want?

I cant say from first hand experience but a couple of mates who go to Jap meets like these say the Supra isnt that good at 1/4 miles as they struggle to get them off the line well?
-
Interested in these as well, what sort of price are they?

I ordered this one and mine is running fine now...

Yeah and how much? I'm going to take all the fuel out, a whole tank  and replace with some fresh juice from somewhere else to see if this changes the running of the C. Initially i thought it was my coil pack as it seemed to be running on half power and i had issues with the car running when wet. Might just replace that anyway now as i have it and they tend to play up after 10 years.

Bought some petrol last monday and my car ran ok for the brief time it got back to my house. Next day i use my car and its running ruff as hell. I thought it was the coil pack as it seemed to be running on half power and could smell unburnt petrol. However i wake up today and hear that Morrisons and Tesco have had problems with petrol recently. Wondering what to do now really?

Thats great! Thanks for your help guys!

Go to Elite in Rainham, its in Essex but just over the water, they do a full laser alinment giving you before and after readings. Think it was about £90 for mine as there was a lot of adjustments that needed doing.

I've found a couple of MOT's for my old car but i'm not sure of the current owner for it, is there a way I can pass these on as I dont have thier address or contact info.

Jedi Knight - Have you ever thought about selling the materials you use in kits? Its just that i reckon with the people that you cant reach due to distance then they might be interested in buying the materials you use to do such a good job that you seem to do. Thought i'll put it out there, you make money from people that you wouldnt be able to visit, make money on the materials that you buy at trade prices and everyone gets a good bit of kit? Just an idea as it would appeal to me :)

Jessica Simpson! Quality bird just very dumb, but i think i could put up with it!! :D

I know its hard to hear but leave it as it is, i dont think you can improve it any further as its perfect. Always tempting to change things but you cant improve on perfection.

Highly recomend BJV had my split rims done there, they took a little while to do them but the finishing article and price i paid i cant complain at all + the guy who runs it is well into his V dubs. Which is always a bonus!

I'm in the same boat too, fancy something newer and a bit faster. Have also been interested in the BMW M Coupe and after spending some time on the M Coupe my interest hasnt been swayed, they are at the top end of my budget though and would be pushed to afford one. A Impreza P1 has also interested me but the engine life on those doesnt seem to great and it wont be cheap to fix.a Cio V6 has also got me interested, liked them when they first came out but i dont know if i could live with it for a long period of time? Maybe an MKIV R32?

Could be the clutch slave cyclinder or even the master cyclinder that is slowly dying?

Can anyone recommend a place to purchase good quality rear VR6 wheel bearings please?

maybe the tracking is out? Mine is out at the moment and when braking it does pull a bit and skips about under breaking?

Quickest car you've been in, owned and most interesting....
Colley replied to NickVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Quickest car i've been in has to be a Radical SR3, went in it at Brands, castle combe and Snetterton with the later being the quickest at 163mph, being so low it felt like 180mph! Went in a F355 but the bloke whoe owned it drove like a bit of a girl so didnt feel particuarly fast + i'd previouly been in the radical and a westfield which was also crazy My mates Pulsar GTI R is pretty nippy as well being 400bhp, not very reliable but fast when it is all on song. Fastest car i've owed is my VR6 to date. -
I had this problem and it turned out to be a knackered fuel pump with no over run. It worked about about 10 minutes when the car had cooled down. Now it works hot or cold, wont mention all the other unrelated problems with it though :(
