For £20 i might give it a go. Other people have said that when the pushed the key in hard though it worked, this has little influence on mine, which made me suspect the imobilisor. Did you try that to any effect?

Cool thanks for that its just that i saw the invoice and saw it ended in a B when i thought VR6 gear ended in an A for some reason.

I have a similar sort of problem, its quite a rare occasion when it happens, prob once a week if that and i turn it over and it doesnt fire. I keep trying and eventually it will start but can be after a couple of minutes. Thought it may be an imobiliser prob but it sounds more like the ignition switch. Any thoughts anyone?

Hi guys, My 95 VR6 has intermitent problems in that sometimes it doesnt fire? Was going fine then the other day it just decided it didnt want to start, its been like this over the weekend though at some points it does start? Obviously Vag-Com would be a good start but i dont have it and no one in the area does. The spark plugs and leads are about a year old so shouldnt be related to that i wouldnt have thought? Any suggestions would be appreciated as its one thing after another!! :mad:

Supercahrged - Does the bearing come with the Top mount do you know? Getting my top mounts from VW but not sure if they are with them??

I would have thought your get 1k relativly easily for it seeing its had bits and bobs done for it and VR engines are quite popular for conversions still

Prob top mounts i reckon, mine are like that and need doing soon. Not expensive or a real problem to get sorted your be pleased to know!

Thats what mine was like, looks ok at the front but the rear is ridiculous. When setting up suspension, why do people have the front a touch lower than the rear? Just a general question that was on my mind :scatter:

l've got my new Oz alloys on now and the valve on them are very nice and shiny etc, but how do you inflate the tyres as a regular garage air pump doesnt fit on the valve, is there a adaptor anyone can recomend or anything? Thanks Andy

Mines the front nearside one as well. Yep the locking ring moves down just the part that actually adjusts it. Was thinking about the heat option but wondered if any one had tried it?

Went to alter the ride height on the weekend, three of the suspension arms are fine but one is not turning to allow me to alter the height. I put waxoyl on them all but obviously not enough on this one. Anyone recomend anything to get it moving again? Cheers guys

Picked my Oz Futuras up from these guys on saturday and have to say what a great company they are. Did a great job and at a great price, cant ask for more than that, v happy and would strongly recomend them! :D

Stick with it my man, i had a problem with the cooling on my VR was so fustrating but your get to the bottom of the problem eventually its a lot of trial and error i found though

Could be knackered top mounts? I have this on mine and going to get mine replaced.

Stupid question maybe but.... Are these just for the front as my rear left is out on the tracking, would this give the ability to adjust a bit to get the reading in the green?

Kev, what are these bolts then as i have had the same sort of problem but i've never heard of these bolts.

I did pass plus when i first started driving and it gave me a years extra NCD. I used the co-operative i think it was and they accept Pass plus, when i went to my next insurer they ask how many years NCD and they gave 2 so from then on i have always had an extra years NCD which has helped. Insurance companies are b*****ds for hardly giving you any more discount when you come to renew thats why i have never stayed with the same one for more than a year.

I've been having problems with the water temp on my 95 vr6, i have had the thermostat and fan switch changed but i think its the relay as the fan isnt working on speed 1, though it does actually work if you understand. Anyhow i believe its the relay, does anyone know where its located? Thanks

Went to the pilot recording and they had the espace, was so funny, will be in stiches watching that!

I've never thought about all that extra weight in the back, will bear that in mind when i get mine done again in the nxt month or so.
