  1. Hi All, If anyone is looking for a caliper rebuild and powdercoat I can't recommend these guys enough, had both mine done on separate occasions and the finish is excellent [emoji41]. They've agreed 10% discount and priority turnaround for forum members [emoji106][emoji106]. 6. Hi@fendervg, Yeah tried that and it seemed to shift most/all of the air, I'll give it another go and see if it'll push it around [emoji106] Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  7. Hi all, having an odd issue with the PS on my G60 if anyone has any ideas? Just finished a rebuild and all running sweet but PS failed to come back to life, not sure of the pump condition as I had never run the engine before now. Replaced the pump and fluid and when I started it all looked good, pump was making the familiar sound and steering felt good - ran it for about 10mins and looked to have got all the air out, pump seemed to settle and then nothing... no PS again [emoji848] Anyone have any ideas? Using Febi 06161 PS fluid, noted as G002 000 compatible; steering rack was original to the car and working prior to transplant Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  8. Looks great m8, I've got this on my to-do list once the engine is done. What does a good late interior go for these days? Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  9. Feels appropriate to drop the movie quote...."ITS ALLIIIIVVVEEE" Few odd leaks, 2nd turn of the key and it runs and idles [emoji471] Another G60 back to life [emoji41] Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks @James. Just the earlies then Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  11. Looking nice m8 [emoji41] Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  12. Fingers crossed [emoji1696] Finishing some electrics this weekend, fluids next week and then turn the key for real [emoji51] Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  13. No worries Has anyone got access to an early and late dash and can confirm they are the same or different? Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  14. Hi all, Looking at some options for remanufacture of the support bar that directs the fins on the rotary insert for air, all of mine seem to be deteriorating faster than anything else and considered the part could be 3D printed. Is this issue common or is it only mine? The original material looks to be a very soft plastic, on mine the retaining holes have collapsed - see photo Thinking to do a set and replace all of them with a new part, not sure if later ones are the same but could probably do a set for them if different. Any thoughts? Just a feeler at the moment Thx Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  15. Just finishing a G60 transplant and got a few quick Qs if anyone can assist: I've got no carbon canister so can the by-pass valve be left disconnected from the vacuum system? (See pic) With no carbon canister does the spare port on the back of the TB need blanking? Or could I use it for the gauge MAP vacuum? What should connect to the spare port on the brake servo check valve? (See pic) For note boost return deleted Thanks Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  16. [emoji106] Thanks for the heads up Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  17. Fuse on the factory ground? [emoji106] What size did you put in? Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  18. Sure plenty have done this before but if not details attached for a simple 'lights on' alarm using 58e (Grey) and x (black/yellow) from the back of the headlamp switch. I used a 12v intermittent beeper for the alarm [emoji106] Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  19. Thought I'd share the milestone [emoji16] 14.5yrs (how time flies) since the running 16v was removed, this morning the G60 was turned over for the first time, feels like a step closer to running/driving after so long collecting parts and assembly. Few bits and pieces to do and then it'll be fuel in too see if she'll idle, then it's off to JMR at the end of July for setup Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  20. This is the other end if it helps Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  21. Hi all, Can anyone with a G60 check the nearside front corner of their engine bay for this plug - need to know what it connects to? On mine it's not part of the main loom but has 2 external plugs above the fuse box. Thx Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  22. Done... 2 bits of 3x2 on the counterweights of number 2 and 3 Once I'd got over taking the oil out I'd just put in it was done in 20mins [emoji106][emoji106] Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks@Cressa, was starting to wonder if that was the next option Did you wedge between the crank and the casing? Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  24. Morning all, Has anyone got any suggestions on getting the half turn on a G60 crank bolt? Assume valvers etc must be similar I've tried most logical options from across forums/web but am just under 90degs with a 1m 3/4 bar and get fet anymore - car is particularly jacked up with someone sat in with a foot on the brakes and in gear but now it's just turning the small amout of slack across the drivetrain Read about dropping the sump and timber wedging the crank or using impact but not resorted to these yet Any suggestions or tricks I've missed?? Thx Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
  25. In need of a G60 gauge cluster, needs to be '91 onwards - easily identified by arrows for indicators Ideally need the loom also Thx Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
