Hi everyone I’m after two bolts for my automatic transmission sump on my Corrado VR6. Does anybody know where I can get them. It’s in the garage at the moment having a new gasket and transmission fluid change and the guy has said it may be quicker for me to source and order them. Any help appreciated.

Hi does anybody have a dashboard insert later style for not insane amounts of money. I can only find one on eBay that’s £199. Regards Ray

Brilliant I shall do in the future.

Ah mate I had no idea it would be the same bulb as the ashtray you wouldn’t believe how long this has been driving me nuts thanks so much

Sounds promising keyo. You could be a lifesaver.

Ok shall give it a go. I’ve been looking everywhere even found one ordered it only to be told they made a mistake and no longer have it and refunded me. Alternatively has anyone found a workaround and put in an alternative bulb?

Ok thanks that’s great that sorts the dash but the other number was for a bulb to illuminate the automatic shifter, I’m desperate to get it working is this what you managed to get from vw heritage, sorry for any confusion.

Hi I got that part number from vw heritage Germany they told me they didn’t have one. Did you get yours from another vw heritage site, could you send me the link? Regards

Hi everyone, I’m after the following part 1H2 927 129 K25 bulb holder with green bulb for an automatic Corrado VR6. Searched everywhere online with absolutely no joy. Does anybody have one I can purchase? I’m also in need of the bulb on the dash to indicate if I have full or dipped beam could anyone tell me if this is a special bulb that I need to locate? Thanks for any advice.

Hi sorry if this sounds a really stupid question. I’ve not long had my Corrado VR6 and it’s been a good few years since I owned my previous one so I’m struggling to remember. Anyway the previous owner of this one has drilled a number of holes in the air filter box. Which ok that was his preference but it’s not my sort of thing I find it too noisy at low revs and holes were on the engine side as well. I’ve looked into a new one but they are selling for stupid money so I decided to fill the holes in myself. Fiddly job but it works and that’s done. My question is the air box just floats around in the engine bay loose. And butts up to a hole behind the offside light cluster I don’t remember my old VR being like this i.e loose but I may be forgetting. I’ve noticed the small insert that slides out from the front of the air filter box. I removed the plastic behind the light cluster to see if the insert slides through the hole to secure the unit but it doesn’t fit through. Should there be a gasket at the front of this insert and that sticks to it? Can’t see any diagrams on my service manual to show me and it’s becoming frustrating any advice appreciated. Thankyou.

Hi did this problem turn out to be the motor?I’m having exactly the same problem and was about to order a new motor if that’s what the problem was. Thanks

Thanks for the reply’s. All really helpful. At least I know now there’s a problem.

Hi Spen can I order one of these from you, how do I pay you?

Thanks for the reply guys. All really helpful. The strip looks in good condition but if it breaks when I open it up I shall let you know thanks. At least I know now all is not as it should be and I can do something about it.

Hi everyone, picked up my auto VR6 about a week ago, had a manual many years ago and have always wanted another. I decided to go for this one as it had really low mileage and was in great condition with service history. I was a little apprehensive about an auto but the sport mode works really well in my opinion, I know not everyone is a fan of autos but I’m really enjoying it and it’s putting a big smile on my face every time I drive it. I do have a question, specifically about the auto. The shifter is not lit. I find it a little difficult driving at night, I’m sure over time I will become accustomed to where to place the shifter but should it be illuminated? I don’t want to take it apart unnecessarily if it’s functioning as intended? My heater controls are not lighting properly and it’s a job on my list to rectify, could this be linked. Thanks for any help. Ray

Hello all completely new to the forum. I apologise if I’m slightly off topic but I haven’t worked out how to start a new thread on the forums.I owned a silver Corrado VR6 years ago and loved it for 6 years M37 ABD but had to sell it in 2006 due to our first house and children. After many years of missing my Corrado I’m about to take delivery of a blue VR6 tomorrow, Very excited. There are a few things I want to do to the car one being replacing one of the outer door slot seal rubbers which is rippled and distorted. I cannot for the life of me find any online they seem to be difficult to get hold of. Does anyone have an idea where I can get any. Nice to be on here and talk to fellow Corrado lovers. Regards Ray West
