Realistic prices for recaro leather-good condition
Stormin Dave replied to stevie_f_2004's topic in Interior
Biege shows the muck up more and so a good clean set of leathers would probably fetch a bit more than a black set which would be more forgiving with the dirt. I prefer black though for the simple reason that all the colour coordination is there, whereas biege still has one or two black plastics accompanying the contrasting leather. It's all a matter of opinon but that's what we're here for. -
Wrynose Pass…! Now there’s something that I still wake up in a cold sweat about. Brrrrghh..! It is unbelievably steep and narrow. I Got stuck up a steep verge after being courteous to let some vehicle pass me coming down the hill (there will be none of that courteous stuff again if I went back over that blummin’ pass  ). It all happened by me reversing down hill on the road but allowing my rear left hand side tyre to run up the banking putting all sorts of twists and rocking actions through my 16 valver. Because of the nonsensical positioning of my car the front wheel drive on it’s own wasn’t enough to pull the vehicle back off the grass. I was well and truly stuck. Yikes! Meanwhile, the guys I’d let pass, and were the only people who could help, were off down the hill with not so much as a ‘thanks Mr Super Coupé’. Fortunately some guys turned up and pushed me back up the 1 in 3 to get me going again. You really do sh1t yourself at a moment like that, especially cherishing your car like I’m sure most do. I ran over a jack russell on this holiday jaunt as well. Bu66er! Not a good day for Corrado driving but memorable I suppose. :( Lots of the roads are excellent for taking the Corrado around though BTW – but choose wisely.

They make a right blummin' mess don't they.. It's bad enough if you hid a bird. Cripes..! :(
-
How long have you had your corrado?

Had my 16V for 9 years :) to be replaced by my Storm :D which I've just gone over the 2 year mark with. Oooh, I'd hate to be without a Corrado of any sort now. :!: -
Had 2 Mk 2 Golfs 1300 and the Driver - excellent car. Saw the Corrado for the first time in what must have been Aqua blue I guess, 'twas then that I knew that this was the car for me but I'd never afford to have one (well I may be right with the affording bit.) Got my 16 valver as a toss up between that and an AUDI 80, ooh I'm so glad I did the right thing.

Prototyp1 almost looks Mystic Blue  Sad but I'm getting excited....

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Cleaned off the remnants of a pheasant that decided to cross the road in front of my wife the other day. :x Why do these birds persist in staying at road level when they can fly (pheasant not wife that is) ? -
Fandabidozie..! Oh I'd love one of those black ones. :D
-
It's a mod.
-
Yeah, I think I'll be going for that incy, wincy mod eventually. Why not, if it improves things? Hang on is that my car in your avatar?
-
But yours is standard is it not..? Looks absolutely superb Radostormvr6. BTW I'm not having a dig at all with non standard Storms, I can't help wondering what to tinker with on mine as we speak. It's always nice to make your own individual in some way. Did like the old light clusters though. 8)

Definitely go for the VR6 and although it’s nice to have the Storm I wouldn’t necessarily hold out for one, but I would try and get a decent set of heated leathers for that extra bit of luxury. Good luck with the search. :)

Watch out there's a ghost breaking in to your car.... C looks excellent scarlett. I'm really fancying one one those eye brows at the moment. 8)

All of a sudden Craig, the 'tache has been replaced in my mind by a lovely pair of 70's socks.. Top form..!
-
Yeah, it's as though he's trying to hide as we speak :D. Just when he thought he'd never see his photo again..!
-
As a purist of good sounds, do you have to put your head centrally in the boot to get the true stereophonic effect Neil? :D
-
Well I love the colour for one thing, but, If I had a car of that quality I wouldn't be carrying scaffold poles around in it.
-
They'd look good in the back of the garage IMO.

Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive December 05]

Saw an "M" reg Mystic Blue Storm today turning to go past the Sheffield Wednesday football ground at Hillsborough. Unfortunately I was in the Bora so no points there...! -
I think standard are excellent in style and comfort so saves a lot of dilemmas really.

I just pad my kiddie seat with an old folded blanket to protect the leather. If only I could find a leather looking one it would be great. You can usually get the seats stapped down just as firm but TBH kiddie seats, even the best fitting ones, are not brilliant for safety, you've just got to go with the best available I'm afraid.
-
You haven't been doing some leccy mods with your spoiler have you? :D
-
Sounds about right. My mechanic was cursing me when I asked him to change mine on my old 16V, it's a pig of a job so be careful if having a go yourself. I actually found that there wasn't even a themostat in there for one reason or another...! :?
-
I had this problem which the guys at the main stealers sorted out for me for free  yes free... Whilst fleecing for some other problem of course. It turned out to be some sort of spacer that had come out of position at the gear linkage. Easy if you know where to look I suppose. (Was on my valver by the way)

That looks so tidy for the price you paid. What condition is the interior in? If it's anything like the exterior then what a bargain..! I bet it was an excellent drive back from Aberdeen. Are you sure your name's not DAN btw?
