  1. its ok supercharged! there is a corrado in there this month though! the group thrash is pretty good too.. to be honest i dont think that corrado would make it into MP. you need a big fcuk off halfords spoiler and some bigger wheels. if you put some fast and the furious graphics on that would be a bonus. stick some incorrect badges on i.e 5.2 litre tri turbo and you will defiatly get a feature! i know someone who got a feature in his "cough saxo cough" and said that he had an overbored vtr engine in. in reality it was a 1.1litre
  2. i didnt think you could have a car in PVW unless it had a 1.8t or you were american?!

    Burning CD's

i would go with the make of disc aswell. i have this problem with my home stereo you do realise that piracy is killing the music industry though.... is that why robbie williams only earnt 2 million last year compared to his normal 17 million or so? maybe they should drop their prices?

    intercooler size

    cheers, have seen one now!
  5. put the other sub and amp in! if you enjoy listening to your music and you want more bass then put it in. i wouldnt worry too much about what other people think of it. at the end of the day i dont see myself as a boyracer and certainly not a chav and i am only 20. ive got a sub and amp and play my music loud as i enjoy it. i dont think you can be seen as a boyracer as you have a decent car. if you owned a nova/fiesta/saxo or similar crap cars then u could and probably would be seen as a boyracer! that is my humble opinion anyhow

have you got any pictures of the intercooler on its own so i can see where the inlet/outlet is please? have been trying to find some pictures but not much luck! will also help to find one on the european ebay sites as my german and dutch doesnt cover car tuning!!
  7. onn german ebay i think someone has a rallye bend like the one you require at 100 euros. correct me if im wrong though

presumably this will fit in front of the radiator using the 2 extra holes in the slam panel and the extra 2 holes just above the bumper?
  9. how big is the golf g60 front mounted intercooler? the dimensions would be nice if anyone has them off hand?
  10. halfords pro stuff is always good. draper stuff is also pretty good. screwdrivers and stuff i use halfords because when i break them i can take them back! stanley stuff always good aswell!!
  11. getting my first corrado this year was probably my highlight. a 19 year old driving a g60 pissed a lot of people off!!! edition38 was probably my best show of the year - whole weekend next yera i think!!! merry christmas everybody!!
  12. i did the singles seaters at brands hatch a couple of years ago, quality!! got to cane an audi tt round the track with the instructor to learn the lines and then have some time in the single seater. was a formula brands single seater. had an audi engine in i do believe. not easy to drive and only did about 100 mph on the main straight, but 2 inches off the floor and it was something else!! the rallying normally consists of learning in a 2wd car then progressing to a 4wd-group N spec or something. quick but not a wrc car. would highly recommend the single seater experience to anyone especially if you like karting!! have fun whichever you choose, its something else!!!
  13. er yeah i did tell him  yeah the corrado is a bit rare when your looking for 1, but as soon as you buy one you seem to see them all the time!! you boys in IT get paid to much money so thats why you can all afford corrados!! is that why so many people comment on the forum during the day then when you should all be working!!! :D all the corrado owners ive met seem to be cool though think the guy got a bit worried when he asked me about the oil temps in his corrado! mine go up to about 100 to 104 degrees around town, his were around 118 to 120! couldnt really comment too much as im not a mechanic!
  14. im amazed at how friendly most corrado owners are! most always put their hand up or beep when they see you in yours regardless if you know them or not!! was in norwich last nite and i pulled up alongside a chap in another g60, then proceeded to pull over and have a chat about our corrados! never seen the guy before in my life but he was really friendly and shared a genuine interest in the car. i dont think ive ever really seen this happen in other cars, most just turn their noses up!
  15. managed to get a pipe off a scraped car in the end. the guy who was making the pipe up didnt really do a very good job but to be fair he doesn't have anything to do with cars and this was more of a favour. i think the copper pipes are harder to make up than hydraulic hoses as you have to braize or weld the ends on (if this can be done with copper). the shape of the pipe he made wasnt quite the same as the original so hi didnt fit 2 well and coupled with fact there was a small hole in the weld it didnt go down well!! at this point i was quite frustrated to say the least!! anyway all fixed now! exturbo2003- i can quite believe there are a few cowboys doing recoveries, but then there are everywhere! they are the ones giving you decent guys the bad name! i should know, im an electrician and ive seen plenty of crappy and dangerous work from cowboys!!

  17. i wasnt trying to be offensive to the patrol men, sorry if i have caused this. i was really referring to the guy in the office on the phone. i understand that only trucks can carry 4 wheel drive motors. i think the guy driving the truck was more annoyed than i was!!!! i was pretty sure it couldnt be fixed on the wside of the road!! if the guy had a spare pipe on his truck i would have gladly taken him down the pub 4 a drink!! would have saved me a lot of trouble!! LOL! and before i cause offense to any people who work in the office, im sure it was only this 1 particular plank!! although the patrol man assured me otherwise!! as i said, dont take it to heart mate
  18. down at southend the other week the plod had a honda NSX, audi RS6, audi TT and lotus elise!! not bad i think. thats where all those speeding fines are going! nice to see its being spent well
  19. anyone know which cars have the same pipes as the corrado ones by any chance?

    belt slippage?

no im not trying to mock you mate. i can see the logic its just not the respose i expected LOL!!! the dub isnt going anywhere at the moment so i havent given it a try!! could do a product test on which talc is best?! what do you reckon!!
  21. have decided that the pipe had a hole in it aswell so i took it too a hydraulic specialist and he is hopefully sorting me out!! glad i get to know these sort of people through work, its true what they say- its not what you know it who you know! i wouldnt want the swear filter to have to be used on my posts :D im a polite young lad!!!!
  22. Rob_B

    belt slippage?

would the brand of talc affect the performance do you think? dont want to use tesco value if the traction wont be as good as tesco finest?lol! on a serious note i mite well try this, cheers
  23. pipes are ok touch wood. leaking around the banjo which is shagged i think. VW dont keep these or the copper washers. useless? he didnt even know what was being held out in front of him even tho i explained where the banjo came from. new steering rack is between 500 and 700 english pounds. i think not! yeah the twats at the AA obviously didnt want to send a spec lift so they sent a flatbed. i told him this when i called but he was obviously too clever for me and knew what he was talking about when he sent a van. there is a word for people like that but i wont repeat it on here
  24. lets be honest tho, its a rally car!! 47k for a thoroughbred rally slag is pretty good i would say! i would have thought that the mpg wouldnt matter if your gonna buy a car like that IMO
  25. to be honest i think its just a case of one of the washers being knackered, but i thought i mite aswell replace the pipes whilest im at it. but if the stealers went to sting me for a rack they can shove it!! or worst case scenario i will get some pipes made up by my man at vw or a hydraulic specialist. thanks for the offer tho
