I have a (similar) problem on a newly acquired Corrado...does not clear a small section in the middle of the screen (doesn't affect visibility - but annoying). Standard arms with what looks like Halford's blades. Arms look as though they have been bent at some point. I will have a look around the windscreen to see if I can tell what make it is.

This was my favourite pic of all ..until I noticed the fluffy dice!! You'll should post another pic without the dice...or I'll have to find a new favourite!

My first ever visit. Only went to see the Corrados! Very worthwhile, a good display. Phil talked me into joining the Corrado Club. Suppose I had to after complimenting him on his car. -
You have pm.....
-
A touch, but not too close. Thanks.

Yes we do, seen three in the last five days. Thought it might be helpful to find out if anyone knows about the car before making a significant trip, and have now had some useful background to help decide if it's worth making contact with owner and possibly the trip. With respect to starting times, cold and warm, said earlier sounds just like my current one!

Know anything about its current condition or what the track guys did with it?
-
Thanks both. Looked an interesting possibility, but the track car bit would worry me. Looking for something with very good bodywork, otherwise I will spend money on fixing mine up which has a fair bit of rust on at the moment. ---------- Post added at 11:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:04 AM ---------- Noticed the wheels - off a Storm. Mine takes a touch longer to start when warm, so don't think that is much of an issue. Sounds as if eBay advert has a lot of HarryC's work described. Read his thread...ended abruptly! Just sold and bought a Scirocco.

Just seen this.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STUNNING-BLACK-MAGIC-PEARL-VW-CORRADO-VR6-NO-RESERVE-/221151890178?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item337dae0b02 Anyone know this car?

I have had a Longlife stainless steel exhaust on mine for several years. Have had no problem with it. It was fitted by thefranchise in Basingstoke at the time.

Thanks...was hoping to be able to avoid that!

When I bought my Corrado many years ago, someone had put speakers on the rear parcel shelf. Have never liked them, and removed them over the weekend. Now want to connect the original rear speakers back up. Found the original connectors (191906231-A, flat contact housing) plugged into the speakers - the wires had just been cut off. Not obvious, but does anyone know if there is any way to re-use these, or are replacements available? Thanks.

Anyone seen a profile like this profile somewhere else???

I can see the TT in the older picture..... But the latest...please tell me they'll put a VW badge on it.... And call it the new Corrado.... And then I'll start saving..... -
Thanks - will look into this one!

Will do that when passing the stealers....thanks!

Thanks. Will look for specialist trimmer around Oxford! Anyone with a recommendation in this area?

Does anyone know / recommend where I can get my drivers seat, in what I think is the black splitt cloth (purple specks), reupholstered? It has developed a hole in the fabric (on the back rather than the seat piece) which is essentially on the side - this is black only. So likely that it would not specifically require the black splitt cloth but if available I would like to get the whole seat done. I think I read somewhere on here (Kur2y?) that somewhere in Bristol had a roll of this cloth, but not sure when this was? Anyone have any current ideas / suggestions?

Thanks. Door looks OK. Bit of rust on sill? How's the rear panel / wheel arch? Can you PM phone number?
-
Thanks. Appreciate you letting me know at your convenience.

Looking to revitalise my Corrado (M, 1994). Trying to decide if I should get rid of all rust on passenger door (do not need window, etc unless all comes free!), sill (has now developed a hole) and rear wheel arch (plenty of rust here) by replacing then a full respray. Or whether I should keep my Corrado for spares and just get another Corrado! I have space limitations..... so should really fix mine up which I know has very few problems and has always been extremely reliable. So does anyone have rust free panels? Black is good, but if I'm having a full respray then colour doesn't really matter. But if I'm going this way into a full respray then condition of panels is important. Any advice welcome! Thanks Clive
