i had a machine mart one, sold it few weeks ago. works very well!

replaced drivers handbreak cable (altho it seems too long?, was from gsf) Relpaced passenger Bottom ball joint Added bolt to drivers abs wires as it had come out. and now it has 12months MOT! WOOHOO!

today i got someone to put the ignition on and I tested the voltage out of the 5th injector, it worked when the ignition was on so thats working ok. so i think i should keep looking, maybe more into the coolant sensor.

errrrrr.....well my mate had it and he was at work and i had the car in pieces so i couldnt get, that'll be why it took so long!

how many oms from coolant temp sensor when enigne is hot?

is it true that the temp sonsor is about £28? is it a simple case of un bolting the old one, and putting the new one in? -
i measured te ohms in the 5th injector today at it came back at about 7.9 or something. i did the coolant temp switch when the engine hadnt bee started and it said about 1.6 i think theni kept on trying and i wasnt getting ANY read out what so ever!

well i did it, only took 4 hours! 3 and half of them was trying to get the sodding ball joint out of the hub!

well bcstudent, ive got a multimeter, ive no idea how to use but it seems a pretty uptodate one, i got it for xmas. If you could tell me what to look for i might be able to try. -

i do have a ball joint splitter in the garage luckiy, When you say adjust it if i need to, are the 3 bolts oblonggated?

For the first time of me owning a corrado im doing my first DIY job! Im replacing my passenger bottom ball joint tomorrow. i have the new ball joint. I take it its just a case of unding the top bolt, hitingt the arm down, then undo the bottom 3 bolts? If there are any pointers or any help anyone has got please give them to me! Neil

the 5th injector, will it be pressent on a 1993 9A 2ltr 16v? There is a BLUE thing on the right of the rail that runs along the FRONT of the inlet manifold as it curls into the head, what problems would that cause if it was faulty?

I have a 1993 9a 2ltr 16v engine. To try and sort my ugly cold starting probs i stuck a multimeter on my coolant temp sensor, it read 0.03 oms and the engine was hot(90 degres'ish) What should it be reading at different temperatures? Neil

Had MOT today, failed on ball joint and hand break cable, Cost for mot £35 Cost for parts £25 Cost for labour £0 Not bad for my First MOT with this car!

what would happen if that collent sensor was broken, how would i know, like irratic reving or lumpy idle or not a good start from cold? And how do i test the sensor, i have a multi meter. think Im getting closer to my probs!

so i take it the 'blue' sensor is the coolant temp sensor which is number #3 in the pic, and is it held in via a treaded bolt? PLease help.

Id look more into why your batery keep draining as aposed to filling your current one up, otherwise the problem might carry on.

I have really bad cold starting problem and have been doing some searches on this site and have found some info on how it might be worth replacing the Blue or black or both sensors? I have a 2ltr 16v 1993 corrado. Can someone please enlighten me on these and what to ask for at GSF and where they are in the engine bay? thanks, Neil

i had and still have the same problem, i even had to get RAC out few times due to its dying on my at random places! He took the air intake pipe off the throttle body and opened the butterflys and then gave it a good clean, removed loads of black crap! Altho i've also been thinking maybe its something to do with the fuel pump, i had the filter done and hasnt made any difference.

i have done a search to find out why my drivers mirror doesnt demist any more, its a 1993 2ltr 16v and im guessing it has heated mirrors as my passenger one demists so quickly! That link above doesnt work any more, has anyone got any information? Neil

I knwo it looks blue, it is green inside the car, ill take the dash out during the week, might even try the LCD change colour mod, but not untill i get a new switch!

have done done a search! as far as i know, thier connected via little plastic bits, so if you want to put a new one on, maybe plastic weld or super glue it on?

i once cleaned my engine bay, with this spray on and wash off stuff, got little water on the connector for the break sesivour, and the red light stayed on dim, i then cleaned the terminals and it went away.
