I have just fitted a set of 'Xstream 5.25" 2 way component speakers, Made by Directed Audio. 100watts peak power' (quoted from box) They went in fine, had to bend the plastic threds slightly and really push them on but they are fine, and the tweeks i have drill and glued onto the mirror plastic bit running the wire down the door. They are so much better then the standard ones (well actually i dont know as i found out the only working speakers were in the back! Only had the car a month) Plus these were only around £50. Very good!

whats the best way to drain all the old fluid off?

Ive found something else out, if i have the side lights on, without keys in, and the dimmer switch controls the light ring on the siwtch, if i then press(wobble) in the control on the heater blower, this then makes the dash lights come on which i can then dim with the dimmer switch, so its obviously a lose connection behind the heater blower control!

yes mine makes the most noise on full lock! is noisey all time tho but really whines on full lock. how hard it is to change the belt?

i have heard that people changing their PS fuild has helped the whining noise, mine is really bad! As long as i can get it all from GSF i know where it is as ive been there a few times already for a headlight lense, air filter, spark plugs etc! CHeers guys!

i want to get some stuff for my C but as im new to owning one im not sure, I have search and found info but people abriviate words and ive no idea what it means? Im after some new:- Power steering fluid (also where is the cap to drain my old stuff away?, i know im to tilt the car up at the front but not sure where to drain it from) Engine oil + Oil filter And a new Cat (mine is smelling of eggs!) + original or a QUIET back box But ive no idea where to go for them as i have heard only original stuff is best. I do have a mechincal mind and have fitted Vaux engines in the past so i know a little, so as much info is greatly wanted please guys as i know nothing about my C! Cheers! Neil :)

When ive had the engine running, then turn the car off and take the keys out, and i put my side lights on, then use the dimmer switch, it dims the dash lights but also my actual blower fan, like if the dim is on low, the blower wont be on, as soon as i turn the dimmer switch the blower works. Also before ive started the car and i turn the dimmer switch without headlights on it dims the ring around the headlight switch! Ive been thinking it might be something to do with my alarm, as its when the car is started or imboliser is on or off etc? Can anyone help? Neil

has anyone else suffeted the same sytoms as me with the switch being broken? Looks like ill be folking out for new switch :mad:

it does have a crack on one corner of the switch!

Ill try to explain it a little better, if i start the car, and the healight switch is light up, the dimmer switch will DIM the actual switch, but if i turn the car off, but leave the keys in the ignition, the dimmer switch THEN dims the dash lights?

The lights were like that when i brought it, i didnt know they were tinted until i got it home and someone who had a corrado told me! Window tints are for privacy, they arent dark tho, just a light smoke tint. Argee with removing the side strips. And the grill and spolier and staying black, personal preffence of course. Neil

I have EXACTLY the same problem, and it came on after i washed the engine bay, water on the connectors on the resivour, so this MUST be the porblem, ill just dry it out and see if its ok. Water must make it happen.
