A work collegue has given me two magazine articles, one of which i have seen a link to on here, but the other is a reprint from autocar and motor 31.5.89 titled "VW's sparkling new Corraddo-first test" and is about 8 pages long. Would anyone be interested in seeing it on here? If so how do i make it a .pdf file? I can scan it in as jpeg images though. I have had a look around and not found a mention of it but if someone has seen it can you post the link saves me scanning it then!! :lol:

hi, my brown switch is currently leaking, could do with the part number (or tell me wot this one does - high/low pressure etc!). any idea of the price too? cheers andy

contacted the seller... offered to refund for return of goods and said they didnt sell the glass only.... so i am back to square one. a lot of messing around and still no closer! anyone who can source a glass only let me know especially if in the uk but looks like i am going to have to buy a genuine one!

well wot a bummer! parcel arrived today lenses are a near perfect fit! pity they came with a bloody reflector attatched! So if anyone knows how to seperate the lens from the reflector without breaking the glass im all ears!! I have emailed them back to see if they have made a mistake and if they even sell the glass only...

nick was good enought to post me one - did anyone notice the mistake in my 2 posts? put down i wanted a passenger side then a drivers side, think i must be losing it! what i need is a passenger side unit, i now have 2 drivers side units, 3 if you include the one on my car! sorry nick!!! Anyone who has a PASSENGER SIDE late style foglamp unit which is damaged and they have no use for then give me a shout, i will cover postage etc....

about 6 weeks ago i changed a siezed and leaking aux water pump. 2 weeks later while playing with the obd2 cable trying to communicate with the laptop with the engine running i noticed a pool of ??? under my car, turned out to be coolant, changed and flushed the system when i did the aux pump. Looked like the main water pump was leaking and after removing the airbox this seemed to be the case. So I decided to let a garage do it after some advice and had to wait until tomorrow (25th) for a slot in my garage for the pump. It has stood still the last few weeks apart from the odd turn over of the engine - each time a pool of coolant appeared on the floor. Not much of a leak but the pump still seamed to work, maybe just the o ring gone! Today i started it up to show someone the leak and it wasn't leaking!! Run the engine for about 45mins and took it for a drive and not a drop lost..... So has the magic fairy come and saved me a huge labour bill at the garage or could there be another reason?

wow thanks for all the replies so quick, certainly got a few pointers there, as for the abs lamp, it will come on when ignition is turned on "flicker" a few times then go out or stay on so the abs fault is an intermittent one, can anyone point me in the direction of the actuator electrical bit and the sticky valves, are they on the unit below the expansion tank? i did remove the connector at one point and cleaned up the connections which resulted in sucess for a while so i pointed the finger to a bad connection somewhere but cleaning it now does bot seem to work :( Least of my problems at the mo, just replaced aux water pump and now the main one is leaking!!! just waiting for my local garage to fit me in- currently 25th august at the moment!! someone please remind me why i suffer the punishment of the corrado, ahh maybe it is because the car is so much fun to drive!!! thanks again everyone

i believe i have found a US seller to post me some replacement lenses made by bosch, they have the bosch logo on the glass so i was wondering if anyone had a late style passenger side foglamp unit going spare so i can make a matching pair. once i have made a pair i will fit and give feedback with pictures, they will cost $18 dollars each with $10 postage so want to order 2. hi, i have a similar problem, intermittantly the light will stay on, usually it flickers a few times and then goes out (is this normal?) . I have tried all connections including a big multiblock in the engine under the expansion tank, sometimes this has resoved the problem, poor electrical coonection. I have 4.9v at the sensor, is this right? What is the data lead you can use for the engine, do you need special software and where does it plug in? thanks in advance
