Has anyone got a diagram/photo of the little hoses as I know that I'm missing at least one, trouble is even if I bought a replacement I can't see where it should connect to!? I've found a kind of cotton braided "T" piece that looks suitable but it's been sealed off on the only available end with a screw....

Hmmm, hadn't thought about porsche... Thing is now I've got the doors smoothed I don't really wanna touch them so whatever I get has to fit where the M3 ones are. Think I'd better find some pis of the porsche kit...

Ta very much! I'll get some better pics up when there's a day without rain to take em!

Thanks, but back to the point of this post... THE WING MIRRORS!!! Gotta change 'em, anyone know what might fit?

I'm based in Furzton, you? I was having a good chat with Bally earlier.

Just a basic pic to start... pic thumbnailed-vr6storm

No, I got it in Slough. Might have been really dirty rims rather than black.... Otherwise, not me.

I was wondering about the whole Wolfsburg thing.... It's a karmann interior which has had the centre panels on the seats redone in yellow leather (yuck). And I've found receipts for Wolfsburg badges in the history so I'm not so certain it was originally anything special.... As I said, the badges are in place of the VW one on the back, in place of the side repeaters and one beside the ignition. The side repeaters have be put into the M3 mirrors but I think I'd like to go back to standard with those as they look cack in the mirrors!

Yeah, I actually wanted a standard 16v in yellow but everyone I called was always sold before I rang! Finally I found one but it was modded :| Once it was obviously nice but last owner neglected it a bit so things are not what they could be.... Anyhow, I want to ditch some of the mods and improve on others. First thing to sort is the engine problems and lack of dash lights!

Cheers! Though I didnt mention.... I work as a web developer

That's the problem, pics are on the camera not on the PC! :( All the cables etc are at home and I'm at work.

Where abouts in MK are you? I'm a Furzton lad at present. Just thought, even if I do take pics at lunch I can't upload them until I get home anyway! Doh!

Oh and I forgot to mention, under the bonnet it's got polished this and that and some plastic parts replaced with chromed steel, like the horizontal pipe in front of the head, rad fan housing etc.

Yeah I was trying to use my socket set but it's still too big! I reckon it's a trip to Halfords again! -
Hi, I've only had the car in MK for about 3 weeks, plus I don't tend to do the Saturday night McDonalds thing so probably dont see it on the MK roads that often! Anyhow, here's a rough list of what's going on: Nugget Yellow RS4 Bodykit all round Lowered 40mm 17" BBS Crap stainless exhaust (gotta go) 3 slat grill with eyebrow spoiler (coloured) M3 mirrors with indicators debadged, but Wolfsburg badge at rear and old side repeaters Black interior with Yellow Leather centres (want to get just black!) Delocked, coloured Mk4 type handles side strips removed I'll take a pic at lunchtime and post it here... Wouldn't mind meeting up in MK as I really need to look at another 16v engine to compare as I think I'm missing a vacuum hose on the airbox....

Hi guys, I've got M3 mirrors fitted and the door mounting points smoothed so the mirrors are fitted to the black triangle by the window. Trouble is the M3 mirrors are at a strange angle when inside the car so I want to change them. Thing is without the door mounting points I can't go back to original corrado ones! Any ideas on what might fit? I wondered about Mk3 golf ones....? The ones on the New beetle are ok but too big!

Ta for that! I think before I go the injector route I'll start with the plugs and leads, although it had a VW service 6 months and 1500 miles ago.... Incidentally, my current spark plug tools are too large to fit down the hole in the 16v head... Anyone know if I need a different tool or something? :?: Will also take off the distributer and have a look at the rotor, the rodney that owned the car before I wouldn't be surprised if he changed the distributer and not the rotor! -

Cheers! I forgot to mention, it's got a new distributer too! My reckoned plan is check injectors next... -
Hi everyone, I'm a corrado newbie and am finding a few hard to work out problems.... I've got a 1.8 16v 1991 model. First off, I've found that if I drive the car for a bit then stop the engine at the end of my journey it's ok to start within about 20 mins but if I leave it for lets say 2 hours or so, then it just doesn't want to start! It will fire first time but die after a second or two, then won't restart. After turning it over for what seems like ages (about 30-40 seconds) it'll finally carefully splutter into minimal life. Little tickle on the accelerator then it's fine. Any ideas? I've changed the fuel filter so we can rule that out. I dismantled the air box and discovered quite a bit of oil on the K&N filter. The bottom half of the airbox has been drilled and buggered up presumeably to let in more air. On a cold start in the morning it does at least fire first time but it's then really sluggish. If I touch the accelerator it begins to die and is really sluggish until it's warmed up after a few miles. Finally when I'm driving it feels like it's holding back, the acceleration is just poor until about 5000rpm when it picks up. No matter how much I press the accelerator nothing makes any difference, quite honestly a diesel ford fiesta could out accelerate me! I'm assuming it must be a dodgy sensor or something but have no idea which, or what to do about it. I am mechanically competent so any help on where to look is much appreciated!
