On a long run the water temp is a bit above the first mark but the other day when I came off the A38 into Plymouth and drove along at about 40mph in 5th it got up to about the 3/4 mark. The fan generally seems to come on a lot more often and for a lot longer. The oil temp is about 60 on a long run which is a bit more than it has been. Hope its the weather but thought it could be the water pump on the way out ?No funny noises. Is there any way of checking the pump?

£260 longlife take back 4 times exhaust!, £90 starter motor (gsf out of stock had to go to lucas!), £120 two new tyres, £150 on stereo, a service £120 oh and £650 on a respray!! Just have to look at it though to think it is worth while. Undoubtedly one of the coolest looking cars on the road

OK so I have just posted in another thread that my rado is going flippin great on tesco 99 ron and it is.............. The only thing I have noticed is that the fan seems to stay on after I turn the ignition off and the car seems to generally be running a bit hotter than normal. The fan is new, the coolant is level so it could just be that the recent hotter (for this country!) weather is affecting things OR it could be somthing a little more potentially expensive? Any ideas?

Drove my girlfriends focus 2.0 esp for 1500 miles on 95 ron then tried a tank of 99 ron tesco stuff and didn't really notice much differance. Then again the focus is set up for 95 ron. Got back into my rado and filled up with the Tesco stuff and the car goes flippin great! Could be phsycological or just the joy of getting back into my rado but it does seem to pull well and is muuuuuch cheaper than optimax. Dig

Sound advice. The only other rear wheel drive car I have driven is a 1500 Fiat x19!!! I have heard that (with the exception of the newer 911s) they are a bit of a beast to drive so should I ever be in a position to get one would definately invest in some lessons.

Could well be very wrong (apologies if I am) but I was told once that there is an order in which to tighten the bolts other wise the sump can distort?

Yeah the 90s version looks more like the new 911 than the new 911 :roll: Really glad they got rid of those boxster headlights though!

I had come to the same conlusion, everyone I know says the cost is huge (but none of them have owned one), such a beautiful looking car though. The 1990 right hookers are still going for £15k :shock: Never driven one, bet the turbo is awesome but even more costly to run than the non turbo One day..............................

Have had to resort to autotrader to get my car fix at lunch time and saw this (2nd one up). Just wondered if anyone has ever owned one and are they as costly as everyone says? Of course I'm not selling my rado!

This is the same guy (now well known to many via the media) who could potentially end up giving you a lecture on speeding??!!!! you know the one that has been called the "attitude test" by officers in the BBC traffic cop documentary. A serious error of judgement and by the looks of the info below the camera in the car showed the speeds.................... Pc Milton - driving the 3.2-litre GSI Vauxhall Vectra for the first time - did 159mph between Junctions Four and Three on the M54 in Telford, Shrops, in the early hours. His in-car camera also clocked him at 100mph, 125mph and 137mph on nearby roads, including 120mph in a 60mph zone and more than 60mph in a 30mph zone.

Thats good to know (not that I have the spare cash anyhow) I'd want it to look authentic but not in respect of rust! i think one of the extras was rustproofing the underbody but that wouln't solve the thinner metal!

Do you mean this one? From memory it was 4wd and had one of the VW V6 engines. Now thats cool! Porsche engine transfer would be very cool in the danbury camper but think of the cost :shock:

Hi all, Anyone fancy one of these VW Camper? The options list prices are a bit scary! Reckon the spec I would want would come in at about £23k so unless a lottery win is imminent I will be sticking to my rado and a tent!

Spotted Green VR6 in Wembury beach car park. Looked mint and from memory had a tow hitch.

Exhaust looks wicked I had a bit of a horror story with longlife to cut a long story short had to take car back four times with a variety of minor faults but now it is sorted I am really pleased with it. Sounds great, looks good since it has been properly sorted.

Put my car in for a service at RPB of Pymouth and asked them to have a go at sorting the bonnt release cable! Drove off in a bright green 1.5 diesel citroen AX realising exactly how nice my car is to drive!

I got beaten by a bora TDi yesterday (ok, a bad change from 2nd to 3rd didn't help). Was a bit gutted but then consoled myself with the fact that whatever guise the rado is in it looks infinately cooler than most of the cars on the road today 8) But will def have to own a VR6 at some point.

Just phoned up Orange to pay my £80 bill :shock: (too much visiting the wap forum) and the girl I spoke to said she/her boyfriend were selling their VR6 midnight blue rado. Funny thing was the last time I called them spoke to some guy who had a yellow 16v? Suggested she advertise it on the forum. Just thought it was a bit of a coincidence getting through to two rado owners! Reckon the Orange call centre car park must look pretty cool though!

Spotted dark blue rado on Tamar bridge on Sunday heading in Plymouth direction at around 2pm. Waved. My passenger asked me "why mine didn't look as good" cheek! although gotta admit the darker blue colours do look great!

New series coming soon by any chance? (22nd May05) Even so what a load of rubbish! Top Gear is excellent I love watching it on Sunday eve. I don't reckon rovers sad demise has anything to do with Clarkson just look at the model line up!

Hi, A while ago someone posted up a link to some pics of some very modded rados including round headlight front end etc.. but I can't find it now. Have tried the search but no joy. Does anyone know what the web link was? I think it may have been pics from the Belgium rado club? cheers dig
