  1. Glad you got it sorted mate and it was something simple :salute:
  2. I had similar to this with my 16v and it turned out to be the throttle cable was frayed where it enters the bulk head. So when you pressed the pedal the cable fed through ok , but on return it caught. Easy enough to check and easy enough to replace though.
  3. Looking good mate, have the Empire tints on mine too and love the colour of the tint. Very easy to fit, but the only problem I had with mine was I got a hair trapped in one and it annoys the hell out of me :brickwall: Lovely looking Storm :notworthy: need to get on the case for the meet over here
  4. This is my daily, still in the VW breed, 156bhp  but speed restricted when you get to 57mph (90kph) :brickwall: and needs a good detail
  5. Witnessed Shaun cleaning this all day Saturday as I was with the nsdubs stand next to the corrado stand, managed to have a chat late on when he seemed to be less busy, and even then he was still looking for imperfections (which there was none) Well deserved win, and up there with best of show :salute:
  6. Looking very clean mate, would love to get a trip up to your yard sometime, to see what you have knocking about :norty:
  7. Yeah it did, and also Renshaws was on these shores for a while as many people already know. Well if you ever meet him can you tell him I want to buy his english number plate if he has it on retention? I tried to buy it off Campaign before he sold the car but it didn't work out for some reason. Will do mate I'll ask about to see if anyone who knows of the owners whereabouts. :salute:
  8. Ya i do surely, sounds good, mabye we could get some of the lads on here to cross the pond :D The more the merrier mate, could be a nice wee road trip for some of the guys across the pond. I'll have a chat with the fellas at the weekend and see what sort of date and venue we can come up with. Somewhere in the midlands probably to make it accessible for everyone, although I don't mind travelling to wherever :) Any suggestions are welcome?
  9. Hey mate, I believe you know Ray and Toph? I'm going to UD with them this weekend, and we'll discuss when would be a good date to do this so it doesn't clash with local shows. Then I'll put a feeler out on here and the local forums to gauge interest. No point just thinking about it, lets do it :salute:
  10. Yeah it did, and also Renshaws was on these shores for a while as many people already know. I attended a VAG meet before Christmas and 4 Corrado's turned up and it got us think about a proper Irish meet just for Corrados. Should be easily enough arranged with a central location, plenty off notice and word put about the local forums. Any suggestions welcome and theres no reason why we couldn't get a good number together.
  11. I know off about 12 My own Belfastfumanchu Toph Moddie Gman Matt Camo Green one one just outside Ballymena on Azev A's One in Bangor seen one in Portadown white one in Newtownards a red one in Belfast Dolph is selling one and thats just the Northern ones I know of, theres a few more in the south.
  12. Don't see anything wrong here, this is the way mine sit after changing suspension. Apparently it's normal.
  13. Cheers mate, I only use the C every now and again, I've had it out less than 10 times since September so not much chance of getting caught. Gonna be sorned again for a couple of months, to do a bit more work before the summer, need to get it out a few more times before the end of the month.
  14. Haven't updated this in a while, as it's been to cold to do any work to the car over the winter. So now the weather is picking up again, I had a little tinker about at the weekend and then took it out for a spin today and took some photos. Tow bar coming off is definatley the next job on the cards, as I have been saying that since I got it
  15. The GSF starters are just reconditioned units anyway, you'll have to give your old one in exchange. Changing the starter is pretty straight forward, just remember to slighty support/lift the engine so that the long bolt lines up easier and it's more or less bolt off and bolt on again :salute:
  16. Having seen the mag, but not read the info, I think air ride is your answer  Loving the Brown one, top class, but something not quite right with the blue one.....15" wheels???? That said i would mind owning either :notworthy:
  17. Vr6 Calipers and Carriers will be fine with the G60 disks, only difference being is the 4/5 stud disks. I used VR calipers and carriers when I did mine, and as for the hoses, just quote your chassis number when ordering and you should get the right set. I ordered Braided from C&R and there was no issues.
  18. Going by the pictures you have up, they look like standard wipers. Do a search of the lupo wiper threads and theres bound to be a pic of them so you can confirm. Much more tidy looking than the standard wipers too, in my opinion.
  19. Very tidy looking Storm, and looks like it's got a good home too. Only thing I can see that you have missed off the list is Lupo wipers, a must have with the weather in the UK
  20. Is this what your after? Such an easy mod and looks so much better!
  21. I have them fitted to my C, and as said you get what you pay for, but tbh they aren't that bad. I change from std shocks and eibach springs and the difference isn't huge. They were a little bouncy till they settled in but now i'm happy enough with the car lowered for not alot of pounds. I will upgrade to better shocks in the long term, but as a short term solution they are ideal. Also if they are still offering a nearest offer on ebay, I offered £150 and got them for that .
  22. Me too, Merry Chrimbo everyone :)
  23. Looks sweet, as said loving the detail on the wheels and looks like alot of effort goes into keeping it tidy.
