16 x 9" with different offset for the front. I'm waiting on 10mm spacers for the front to clear the 280mm calipers.

Mate I upgraded to Mk4 rears as well so I needed the extra ones to go with those. Cheers John, been after a set for ages and couldn't believe it when i seen these at Edition, topped of a brilliant weekend :norty:

Another update, I made it over to Edition38 this year for the first time and thought it was amazing, will definately do it again next year :) Hopefully there won't be the last minute rush next year tho. As in my previous post I was in the middle of replacing my brakes prior to going and it was touch and go if i would get them finished on time. Turns out I couldn't have left it any more last minute. Finally got all the brakes on and back down on all fours the Monday night before Edition, booked Mot on the Tuesday and the soonest date was the 27th Sept  Anyway I called on a contact and got a cancelation for the Wednesday at 7.20pm so all systems go  It failed MOT on handbrake cables, i had some new ones sitting ready to go on, but I didn't have time and thought the ones on there werent that bad that they would fail :brickwall: So I rushed home on the Wednesday night to fit the new ones and called my MOT contact again to arrange a retest for the Thurs at 4.20pm. Bearing in mind our convoy to edition was leaving for Dublin at 5.00 am Friday morning :pale: Anyway the car passed straight through and the boat was booked, and I was just looking forward to getting away for the weekend to de-stress. BEER :norty: Didn't get to meet to many members whilst over, but still had great craic and did pick up 4 new friends for the trip home, I'll let the pics do the talking :D Coilovers where ordered up the minute I got home so the drop will be coming soon too 8)

Have a check over your throttle cable, I was told to do the things you are trying when I had similar symptoms. It turned out to be a badly frayed throttle cable which wasn't allowing the peddle to return to it's correct position. Worth a try

Looked at home sitting on the field amongest all the show cars, Congrats on the win. I was just leaving as you were driving on stage and it was good to see a daily driver up there amongest all the cars with £££s ploughed into them. Gives us all hope :salute: -
Seen your car on the Saturday and thought it was looking sweet, had a scout around to look for you but you weren't near your car on Sat and I was feeling worse for wear on the Sunday, was good to see some members cars in the metal. Nice stereo to mate ;) Heres a shot I got of yours

Looking good mate, love the rollin shots. Get one of them entered in the calender thread

Theres no specific manual for the 16v but useful reading includes the Lyndsay Porter manual or Haynes manuals for the Mk2 Golf or maybe Passat. HTH

Mate i thank you personally for re-joining and i'm sure you will not be dissapointed with the new magazine and membership pack which will be with you as soon as possible :salute: I never was a member, which is quite bad on my behalf, just never got round to getting a form, so the online ordering process makes it so much easier to click a button and hey presto. Look forward to getting the membership pack and sprinter to see what i've been missing :dorky:

Now that was easy, fully paid up member now after all these years :salute:

A link might help, to make it easier for people who haven't already been on the site  On my way over now, I always meant to join but never got round to it, so doing it on the net will be much easier

I hope you told her to stick a members thread up here, so we can track progress. Great story mate :salute:

The Battery Charger I had for RC cars was 12v so i could used it trackside of a leisure battery, but as it was charging the night before racing and it was easier to run of mains at home i imported this from Hong Kong. It also allows you to adjust the current :)

Mate I have a 240v - 12v inverter I used to use for RC Car racing, yours for £15 delivered, I can get you photos if you like.
-
I got mine from Amazon, used them today to remove my rear carriers when the hex rung. Tapped on the bolt gripper with a hammer and hey presto  well worth the investment. Plusgas you'll get from most good Motor Factors.

I think it's time for a desktop wallpaper change :salute: so long as you've no objections

Voted for you on the calender thread, but actually think this pic is better, all are excellent shots of one sexy VR 8)

Try some local forums such as vagdrivers.net and nsdubs.com for some local info, plenty of guys from those sites with good info in your area I am sure :)

Or you might enjoy reading the Knowledge Base (wiki) http://the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/16v_Tuning_Guide

Alright buddy, good to hear from you again. Are you home and in the market for another Raddo again? As for the brake conversion, still in the middle of it but getting there, I have 2 days off next week so expect it to be completed then. Should really update this thread now......... Since the last post I have started the Brake conversion and the G60 fronts are on with grooved and drilled discs :) I had bought an Ikea bookcase for the apartment and as i had no books or ornaments for it, it came in handy as my new parts shelf  Top shelf is an Alpine Ipod stereo, next shelf is all round Goodridge Braided lines and Irwins Bolt Grippers, and on the bottom shelf is Braided fuel lines and MK4 calipers. Ipod stereo fitted and Grey leather handbrake gaiter fitted (looks brighter in the pic than what it is) Stubby aerial and dewipered rear New Toyo T1-Rs being fitted tomorrow and then looking at getting the 2 bits of rust on either front arch fixed as the rest of the paint is mint and these really let the car down This is the bit I am stuck on now, I can't work out how to remove the handbrake cable from the bit that runs through the underside of the caliper, I've been told it just pulls through but it won't, any ideas?

Rebuilt my Mk4 calipers, looking good now but what a shit job to do!!!! Winding back calipers ain't fun but my shoulder muscle is 10 times bigger now
