    if you take it to a wheel specialist you shouldnt have a problem with most types. i know the new mc gard ones are tricky though.

    pulled up alongside a blue G plate 16v in my passat hire car today, was with a mate who also has a 16v. We both said 'we've got one of those!' and drove off. further down the road, we realised he may have thought that we were 'more than freinds' :lol:

    my gf has just started driving, she has a 8v mk2 gti, insurance 3rd party was £450.. down to £420 if she added me to her policy! Shes 27 im 24.. couldnt believe i'm actually of some use!

    timg60, I know of two black g60's from the bristol area.. one is a k plate in longwell green, the other was always parked around clifton village, looks tidy with new rims/s.s. exhaust and a splitter on the rear bumper. Is this the car you already own or are thinking about buying? I presume already bought, but if its for sale, i'll go take a look for you if you like? HTH, Baz.

    i dont think £1500 is unreasonable, but prices have dropped badly over the summer.

    eagle F1's are good, but wear very quickly! I had them in 195-45-R15 on my mk3 polo, and wet corners weren't amazing.. but that may be more to do with the car than the tyres!

    My mate is looking at buying a 325 TDS, and reckons it'd kill a G60. Anyone have any opinions of this? the TDS has 142bhp and a 0-60 of 10.1 secs [ish! He wants to take me on at castle combe or santa pod.. even offered to bet £100! Easy money? both cars will be standard engine wise. Baz.

    Phil K, non gti's are now the same, it was only early lupos that had different arms.
