Well the C is now for sale...see thread... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 086#599086
-
Thanks for that Walesy (even if the first one is this thread )
-
yeah sorry - I kept adding to it! Likely to be a golf or golf estate...as much as I love the bora I don't think his n' her Boras would be the way to go... Anyway - that's off topic
-
Thanks. Anybody actually got a six speed box fitted to their C then? The running costs aren't really the reason I'm thinking of selling - we really need another 4 door (anyone done this conversion? ). This is more of a question I wanted answering, than a real option for my VR... but you never know my numbers could come up!
-
As I am trying desperately to think of reasons why I shouldn’t sell the VR, I was wondering whether this conversion could be a practical solution to decrease the running costs of the car. Obviously there would be a big cash outlay initially, but has anyone got a 6 speed box, and what sort of driving experience do they provide along with the MPG. Cheers, Ryan

^^^ Yep - I think he's had plenty of time in the car.
-
Excellent news. Hope he does better than Rosberg did this season...

About 45 miles roundtrip a day for the VR...
-
^ yep single wiper - retro cool 8) I've got a spoiler thingy on there too, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. I saw an ad a while ago for these and hadn't got round to investigating them. It's not that much of a problem - I try to avoid driving it in the rain anyway... Rain-X - I should put some of that on my other cars - it's been sat in the cupboard for 6+ months! :cuckoo:

I'd have thought that having an improved dipped beam would be preferable? I can see fine on the mains, but dipped is poor. My rocco has relayed dipped and normal mains (installed by previous owner) and the lights are great.
-
Hmm, might get one for the rocco - at the moment I may as well de-wiper the front as it's that useful!
-
So this isn't Road Tax for the vehicle - it's a tax the individual would pay for having the benefit of the company car?
-
^ but surely it's already taxed?
-
I think that's cars in general - not Rados...
-
Cool - I need one of those! Got the number handy?
-
This thread is odd - I bought me VR as my winter hack! :?  Getting rid of a crappy mk2 golf GTi in the process (wasn't a great example though)

Is your Corrado your "best" car, or your runabout?
Ryan S replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
The VR is used for my commute - not the most economical choice! I tend to use the Bora if I’m doing site surveys at work (to make more on the mileage), and evenings for shopping/family stuff. It's also used as my g/f's commuter. The rocco is for the sunny summer days – use it whenever I get the chance work/commute/fun. -
It was linked on another thread (angel eyes?) and I had a quick look, and saw the badges

And inaccurate

^Sounds like a plan.

Now those rears are the business. Would these require modification for the foglight?
-
Just looked at your Passat Andi - looks v.nice

This is why I was thinking about the same - do these cancel each other out :?:
