90.9p/litre for Super at Sainsbury's here
-
^^^ Neither do Trimsport - I asked them at ED38
-
Cheers mate - I am hot on the trail of some cheapo D90's - 7 and 8J and just up the road - sounds v promising - next stop adapters...
-
I may have one for sale shortly...
-
 I was just thinking about this... 9J is a bit too wide for me I think – shame really as I saw a set locally advertised. Adapters and bolts too, might ask the guy if I can try them?? :norty:
-
Me too! Also firmed up the suspension on the front - drives like a different car.
-
Progress! Cheers for that Neil. The speedlines are ET43. So does this mean they'll stick out 18 and 13mm more front and back? If so it doesn't sound like much.
-
^ Because I put it there!
-
Ah but to be fair - Ayrton did give him fair warning before the start!
-
Cleaned the carpets and interior up and gave him a quick once over, the wheels look 100 times better!

Right, I'm still looking at these for the VR. Does anyone know whether this set-up would cause me rubbage? 7J x 16” ET 60 (Fronts) and 9J x 16” ET 65 (Rears) fitted with 35mm adapters Now does that give me an ET of 25 and 30 front and back? This seems like it may be ok? 9J wasn't really what I was after - but hey-ho if they'll fit...

I managed only 1 summer of owning 2 mk1 rocco's Trouble was - nothing to drive when it rained!!! (I had to beg for the girlfriends Corsa)
-
Nice read - but they seem a bit hazy on the dates though - rooc's were still being sold in numbers during 1992...bit of an overlap there.
-
Nice - looks great in that colour/wheeels combo. Liking the early grill too.
-
Cool - I'll check it out thanks
-
Just to add to this - where d'you get you're tinted plates from? Noticed loads of cars at Ed38 had tinted plates - but most were really dark - where can I get subtly tinted ones?
-
Ours is factory - we've just got a beeper - no box in the front. Beeps get closer together until it flatlines = enough space behind to load/unload the boot - sorted :)
-
I think that's where ours are fitted. Looks better that in the bumper :thumb right:
-
Won't the VW dealership be able to tell you? They did with my Bora...
-
^^^That's a good idea^^^
-
Agree about the Bora. When we were looking for ours my G/f was adament that she wanted it to have a rear parking sensor. I thought an aftermarket one would do (if after a few weeks she was still going on about it). But we ended up getting one with a sensor fitted - and I have to admit - it's great. The rear visibility is pretty rubbish - so I'm glad we've got them on there now... Oh - there was a good guide to fitting them on Bora base - but the site hasn't been up for a while...Try asking on the MkIV forum as there are plenty of Bora drivers on there.

novice car owners that think they know it all !!!

Oh yes - all quite logical - lets scrap all old/classic cars and drive newer fiestas...
