arggghh..... i gotta problem. i think i need some different rims.....they fill the arches nicely with the wrong tyres on ((how i bought them))....but with the right tyres they look too small. ive just had the front tyres changed and now i have a dragster. Like i said...the wheel looks better on the front but it doesnt look right on the car. bloody nightmare!.....any decent swap from mk1 gti owners?

35-40mm drop is comfortable and shouldnt cause you any problems with regards to wheels rubbing. i went for the "cheap option" and just changed the springs etc....but have been more than happy with the handling..ride....and looks ever since.....its a mod that is a MUST really!

it was at malvern too....it got sold on ebay about 10 months agoish so i assume that the guy who bought it then is reselling it. It looked a real goodun....under 100k when i saw it at malvern.

yeah i saw that too...im just a bit weary when it comes to engine mods... i'd rather speak to people who have done it first!!! :wink: since having a headgasket change aswell as a thermostat,rad switch,temp sender my car is running hotter than before...ive changed the thermo 3 times to see if i can get it down but i cant....im thinking these colder running ones might be the way forward.

if converting to diesel....i assume you need to change the fuel tank/lines ?....and also would you need to change the dials to the mk4 dials?

i assume if you have a mk4 golf engine then it would be easier to put the dials in with it as apposed to connecting the raddo ones?
