If it’s only worn on one side and you can make sure the lower gear will sit in the correct position then you could pin it, better done by and engineering company tho. I’ve done quite a few (other makes tho) and not had a problem but there are some that are beyond repair.

It will fit as crasher says but the TDi ratio’s won’t suit the engine, you need one from a petrol engine car. I’ve seen a few fitted on the original engine mounts and not one of them sat straight, they were all pushed forwards at the gearbox end for the drive shaft and flange to clear the rear gearbox tower. I sat the engine and box on MK4 mounts so the existing towers could be removed from the subframe.

On some vehicles the engine code is a number, maybee I should have said engine code or code number for those who are hard of thinking :lol:

VOSA now no longer require engine codes and numbers for the MOT, it’s caused mayhem for the testers trying to find the details so some just guessed. So all you conversion nuts can sleep easy and just tell them it’s still a 1300cc :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
