I think the point was not to slag the car off but point out that you wouldn’t expect to see such things on a car that wins so many awards. I’ve seen cars looked over for awards that are 10 X cleaner and where the attention to detail is incredible, seems very strange. I’ve looked round the car and some of it is excellent but there are some things that look 95% finished and for me the attention to detail is the most important consideration in the show and shine, what that says about those judging or the other cars shown I’m not sure, I’ll leave it to the philosophers on the forum to work that one out. All I can say is thank god I’ve grown out of the show and shine bit.

2.8 24v is a better engine than the old 2.9, they breathe better and you can pick up some very low mileage engines unlike the old VR lumps

sorry I missed your call, the one careful owner bit was correct it’s just that I was careful not to let you see the video’s :lol: I can’t wait to see the old girl again and look forward to seeing it on the track. The Golf is still 2WD until I’m happy with the set up of the car and the handling, the 4WD setup may mask any shortcoming in the car so once it’s fast enough on the track then it will go 4X4. more vids to come of the old girl and the new shed
