hi there, my rado isnt lowered,but its got a huge Laser back box on it,sit perfectly when looking at it.but i find when theres a load in the boot or people in the back that it rattles.not sure if its the floorpan or the axel,does anyone kno?had a look at its sitting slightly closer to the axel than floorpan,but not checked it when theres load in car.

hi there, how much did getting your head skimmed cost?how long were u with out the car for?andwould it be possible to get more skimmed off with out sacrifice or further modding?

can some1 please tell me what fuel to use in my 1.8 16v raddo.is it four star,super unleaded(97ron),or optimax?is optimax different from super unleaded?

ALL OF THE ABOVE!!! MUST ADMIT IM A SLIGHT HYPOCRIT!!COMING HOME ON MOTORWAY ONE NIGHT,OUTSIDE LANE WAS SHUT,DUE TO ROADWORKS.I WAS SITTING BEHIND A S80 ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TWO LANES THAT WERE LEFTDOING BOUT 50MPH,NOT CATCHING OR PASSING ANY CARS AT ALL.I REFUSE TO PASS ON THE INSIDE (bad driving).SO I SAT BEHIND IT HOPING HE'D TAKE THE HINT,SLIGHT BUILT UP OF CARS BEHIND ME NOW.ASTRA AND FOCUS FLEW BY ME AND THE S80 IN THE INSIDE LANE.BY THIS TIME EARS WER BEIGING TO FUME :mad: .SO I GAVE HIM COUPLE OF WEE FLASHES OF THE LIGHTS,HE PULLED OVER TO THE INSIDE,JUST AS THE FULL MOTORWAY OPENED UP AGAIN.AS I DROVE BY HE GAVE ME THE FINGERS (man bout fifty with wife,anyone know him?)AS I WAS WITH THE LITTLE LADY JUST IGNORED HIM.HE PULLED OUT TO THE OUTSIDE,MISSING MY ARSE BY INCHES AND FLEW BYE,I WAS RAGING!!(begining of novel)THEN I NOTICED HIM IN THE DISTANCE SLOWING UP NEXT TO THE ASTRA.SO I GRADUALLY CAUGHT UP AND PASSED HIM AS THE MOTORWAY BECAME A DUAL CARRAGEWAY SO I SAT AT 35MPH ALONGSIDE A WEE METRO,FOR ABOUT 3-4 MILES UNTILL MY CUT-OFF S80 WAS WELL PISSED OFF!!!REVENGE!!!! :twisted:

can 4star be used in 1.8 16v corrado??

just wondering what model BMW there off?looks like the old three series.du know if theres much moding needed darren?and does the casing off the corrado lights fit over them?would look great with angel-eyes!!!!

please dont ask how!!but managed to get some water in the fuel tank with a hose.does anyone know if theres a plug to drain the tank?if not is it an easy job to remove the tank?at least i think this is the problem as the fuel in the tank is being drained the water is getting pumped in to the engine,and engine chokes.at first i thought it was something to do with modded air box cos just done that today nothing seems to be out of place so it has to be the water in the tank,surely!!also fcukn door handle broke yesterday,its not my week!!! £69/vat for new one! :mad:

no point in selling it if ur not happy with wat ul get for it.just out of chance,im getting my immobiliser looked at on friday,but dont kno where it is in the car,du have any suggestions where they normally fit it?its not factory fitted,checked just about everywhere i can think of but nothing is jumping out at me.

today i noticed that the wee sensor switch on top of the engine that obviously reads when the engine is hot and lets the fan cut on was broken.the terminal that connects to it had snapped off.tried everywhere for a new one and nowhere could get me one.except a VW dealership they quoted £15=vat does anyone know if theres anywhere else i could try.i ordered one from VW though.

im thinking of drilling hole in the lower part of the air filter in my 1.8 16v had a look at the instructions in the scottish part of the ccvw site and it says someting about a K&N filter if i choose to do this mod does it hav to be a performance filter or can i leave the standard one in???will it matter?if so where can i get a performance air filter (panel)?

its a Laser back box that is on it.it sounds good around town-possibly not good enough,but when i droped it to third the noise wasnt that good,it was loud and sounded like a banger that needed a new exhaust.wat about induction kits du kno of any that are worth while?

hi there,thanks for ur reply.im in airdrie just north of glasgow.where are u from?do u kno if the lack of speed up th slight incline could have been from the engine temp i did drop it to third on the incline box the rear box was doing my head in and didnt seem to move much so just sat behind a 1.4 new golf in fith.

appreciate your reply but i was looking for some tips that were cheap.hardly going to rip out an exhaust thats perfectly good to put in full system.are there any good gains in power to be got from drilling holes in air box?also i was out today and the car seemed to have a bit of power low down and through the gears,but sitting on the motorway around 60-70 and put the foot down barely anything happened so i droped it to fourth still not much except a hell of a roar from the exhaust.then came to a slight incline and the car was really struggling,has this happened to anyone else or could it be from the engine overheating etc??108 degrees

HI THERE, I HAVE RECENTLY BOUGHT A 1.8 16V C.IM LOOKING FOR SOME INFORMATION ON HOW TO GET SOME XTRA POWER FROM THE CAR IT IS TOTALLY STANDARD AT THE MOMENT,EXCEPT FOR THE REAR BOX.PREFERABLY MODS THAT ARENT GOING TO COST A BOMB,JUST SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE.ALSO ON THE LOOK OUT FOR A LATER FRONT DE-BAGED GRILL WITH LIGHT BROWE.
