Typical,it's been removed from the main stories. Click on cars, then first drive saab 9-5 bit,and at the bottom of the saab page it has recent stories, top ten vw's.
-
On the MSN homepage today there is a link to the top ten VW's. A yellow 16v(i think)is the corrado. It's only a short paragraph covering the corrado, but some good words. Take a look.

Thanks guys. I really should take a car maintenance course i think. This is my first car, have previously driven new cars-so not used to fixing anything! I don't think there are any washers on the spindle. I keep tightening the bolt, but as i've said-they don't grip for long. Dinkus, thanks for the offer, very kind of you.I'll take a proper look tomorrow at the damn things. It's been hard rain up here for god knows how long.i'll see if the washers make a difference,if not i'll contact you about the wipers. :thumb right: At the moment i have to enter the C via the passenger door,as the driver-side's handles gone too.And with only the driver-side wiper working, this car is testing my patience! And i nearly forgot, the ABS light is on constantly too. The joys. Thanks again team. I'm off to do myself in.

My wipers are attention seeking again.Driver-side works after more Blue Peter antics.I wrapped some foil around the spindle(i think that's what it's called)and this has helped to grip to the arm/bolt.I have tried the same with the passenger side, but to no avail. The wiper works for around 10 mins then nothing. I would like to get the Lupo conversion done soon(OEM at the moment),but want to get to the bottom of this before i do so. Do i need knew spindles? How much do they cost? Am i best getting them from dealers or other? Thanks.

Thanks for the help team.

I thought the dealers no longer stocked the rear badge in corrado size?
-
I can stretch to that.Good man. Are they easy to fit?

I've needed a new rear VW badge since the day i bought my VR(the old one had chrome scraped off). Last week i went to the local scrappies to get a part for her indoors' car.I got a badge from an old passat thrown in(same size as original).Being an absolute novice as far as car maintenance goes,i pulled off the old badge and tried to fit my 'new' one.Making a dog's dinner of removing the old one,the blue plug thingys that hold the pins at the back of the badge in place are broke/loose. Can i buy these plugs from VAG garage? Another thing, having looked at new badges on e-bay,they tell you that the badge they sell is stuck onto you're existing one.Is this right? They just look like a complete badge with rubber surround etc. Also,do these badges come with the holding plug i've been banging on about? Sorry for the long-winded explanation, but this is doing my head in. Any help would be appreciated.

I saw a red 16v(i think)on aikenhead road, glasgow, couple of days ago.White van man let you in(!). Looked like a classic green Vr passing opposite way near the tax office in Ek yesterday at 4-ish.I was too stunned to wave/flash,not many C's here.Sounds a bit sad,but it's cool to see a C of the same spec as mine(or any for that matter) 'in action'.Looked the business. -
Surely you gave them a swift kick in the nads for not producing a manual for the corrado.Who cares if there was only so many imported?..they should still have made one, because i own a corrado and thats that.

The headlights are just plain daft.If you want a golf, buy one.I'm sorry but i'm just not into changing the headlights/rear lights, cant see the point.Seems to be a popular thing to do though.

Some people just can't leave well alone.

Thanks guys.

Sorry,i've just realised, posted in the wrong section.

It's now time for me to address the paint on my C,i've already left it too long.To anyone else its probably not too bad,but it's p*****g me off now. Stone chips, scratches, scuffs, and a couple of chips on both doors are now rusting.I can't afford a full respray,so i've been to a few places to check out touch-ups and sprays, but no classic green to be found.Dragon green, yes, and every other shade of green imaginable. What's the best way to go about this people? I do have a few hundred to spend if neccesary. Will any garages be able to match my paint code? I know a factory finish is unreasonable, but i would like it to be as near as damn it. Thanks.

Cheers Dr forinor.Count me in.

You're right though mate-no need to feel inferior to beemers, mercs, repmobiles etc.Your car is something special, not ten-a-penny like every jelly mould car on the road today.I find it amusing that people spend 20-30k on a car that you wouldn't look twice at.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but i'd still rather have a set of wheels with soul. -
I would settle for a campaign with 10 miles on the clock. :)

Very nice mate, but i like that fat spoke action!

Thanks to u both for the info. Doesn't say on the website if they're 4 or 5 stud Henny,i'll follow it up.cheers.

I'm looking to buy some new alloys and love the look of the Borbet A's deep-dish 7.5,16's.Only problem is,i think they all seem to be 4 stud. Can you get these alloys in 5 stud?.If it's not possible, does anyone know of similar alloys to these?.Thanx.
