    Sorry to drag up an old topic... but... I'm finally getting round to sorting my 1st gear problem. I've lifted the gearstick gator and everything looks ok (I think) but to honest I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Do I have to lift the lower trim off to get a the adjustment bolt or is it just the top bit. Any pics with big dumb person arrows would be great :oops: Cheers

    hey ross,i was over on the sunday looking at the dc stand,i really liked the rados,the rain sucked plus i was really hungover,were DC there on the sat,i didnt notice? what colour rado was yours,there was 2 black ones one with TT/Lupo wipers,cheerz mate We were only there on the Sunday. What was the Sat like? I didn't think Sunday was that great but the rain probably put most people off. Mine was the black C, aero wipers, debadged (second thoughts)... ME clicky clicky

    Without seeing it I would make a guess at around 3k. Best thing to do is check the for sale section and pistonheads to see what you can get for your money. - Ross

    Hi folks, I've done a quick search and havent found anyone with the rear footwell being soaking wet. The front and the drivers side rear are all dry. I'm going to check the sunroof channels just in case theyre blocked. Does anyone have any other ideas? Cheers, Ross

    Mk2 GTi - 16v, I had one for a while and had absolutely no problems with it. As with all old VW's theyre built like a tank, so I wouldnt be put off them. Although I would go with a rado VR, fuel economy is actually better on my VR compared to the Golf. - Ross

    It would be nice to have lower mileage car but 120k is still pretty low to be honest. There are guys on here that have done 200k+ and still going strong. I wouldnt let the mileage sway your decision. - Ross
