    Buying VR6

Forgot to mention as well... if you're unsure about the exhaust, I'm sure someone on the forum from round your area would look at it an give there 'expert' opinion ;) Sounds like a good start to a project. From experience, the DVLA take ages to do anything. Hope you have more luck than me.
  2. I average around 30 in my VR6, but have managed 37 when I was following my mum :) - Ross

    Buying VR6

I would agree with Toad... my mk2 G and my VR6 both took about 10 mins run to get rid of moisture etc. Run it for a bit and I would guess it'll be fine. I recon you should get details and pics up so we can get a nosey :) Good luck. - Ross
  4. Think you really have to grab some pics. Get down on your knees if you have to ;) - Ross
  5. I feel your pain... mine was broken in to a couple of weeks ago. They bent the metal on the door frame, grr. Lucky I know a guy who does bodywork, very annoying though. - Ross
  6. It is that. The only thing with the FK route is that if you have passengers in the back they may complain about the bumps :) but to be fair... when am I ever gonna sit in the back. - Ross
  7. Im thinking of putting a big yellow stearing lock on in addition to the alarm light the imob light the no locks, door pins or stereo... the theifs round here really are that stupid! M15 VW - I'm just hoping my central locking doesnt pack in ;) - Ross
  8. Tried slamming the anchors on when the light came on... I can safely say that the ABS doesnt work when it comes on :( Do you still recon its the rely? Is the best place to get one from the stealers? - Ross
  9. I'm not a jealous guy... but... Have a good one mate. - Ross
  10. Using the 'slam the anchors on' test... seems to be fine. I havent managed to test it when the light has come on though. - Ross
  11. Over the last week my ABS warning light has came on while driving. Turning off and on and all is fine and it goes off. Do you recon this is anything to worry about or the start of an issue? Its just been in for a service, I'm thinking the sensor has been bumped or something. - Ross
  12. I cant add to much in the way of knowledge but I have 16's and FKCoilovers and I can get the car to sit on the ground pretty much. If I drop it right down the front bumper sits about an inch of the ground at most (without a splitter). Not that it would be possible to drive it... but ;) - Ross
  13. I was just have a look through pistonheads, there are a few nice rado's on there, might be worth a look. Good luck on your search. - Ross
  14. Car all sorted. :) Car is running sweet as a nut again and I have all my windows. Was missing riding the old girl. - Ross
  15. One of my mates used to have one. He loved it, it was rapid and stuck to the road like a really sticky thing. I cant remember him ever having any problems with it either. - Ross
  16. I used to have a Bora TDI as a company car. They are lovely to drive and pretty quick... but... I would never sell the VR for one, no matter what the cost. You will end up crying. You cant put a price on your happiness. - Ross
  17. I'll wait til I find one in black :-P - Ross
  18. Ah... that might be why  I'll def be in bathgate, hopefully see some of you guys there. I've never been before... is it usually any good? - Ross
  19. I'm in Paisley. BigGrim is around Glasgow as well, although I havent seen him in a bit either. - Ross
  20. Dundee is the place to be then. Feels great knowing your in a rare car... but I enjoyed waving like a mad man when I was in my Mk2 G and another passed. - Ross
  21. Not disputting that this car is probably rapid... but that charger would p**s me off after about 5 mins! - Ross
  22. I moved back to Glasgow last month and since... I've only seen ONE C. Where are they all... are there any other rado's around here? - Ross
