  1. yeh thanks very much...makes it a clearer. so those tiny knicks can be t-cut out but that thins the paint and the deeper ones cant disappear as those are too deep to be covered. also t-cutting your car regulary would be a mistake...once a year maybe? any recomendations on an affordable brand? my bonnets got quite a few chips here and there...whats the best way to sort really deep chips tastefully with out a respray? same for the door edge...bit of a bodge job where previous owners tried to fill it in with the vw paint stick thing. if theres no solution then guees im stuck as i cant afford to resray panels for one or two chips! tough luck is it? :brickwall:
  2. after reading this post let me get it right. forgive me for being slow! a clay bar....rub it over the motor to get crap out etc then wax the car! blu tak can be used in the same way? how would you go about this? my c's not in a bad state but like many has those little scratches that keep appearing every week and each time feel my heart sink when i notice them. whats the best way to get rid of them... will the clay bar do this or is t-cut ok? never used it before so is there a knack or just rub it in and use some elbow grease? also for those deeper scratches like on the bonnet is there anything that can sort that out. cheers in helping to make my c shine again!
  3. Hi mate....looks like a nice g60 you got there. where bouts in dorset are you? im in sunny old bournemouth.....looking to take my c down to 16vg60 aswell. needs a charger rebuild asap so im fingers crossed till then! with that filter id replacd it with an air box (try scrap yards etc) as its gets like an oven under the hood so all your doing is feeding the engine hot air!

  5. nice green g60 parked behind christchurch on saturday H*** hpp. was looking for a space but sadly there was none! anyone here?
  6. on the way to dorchester earlier bout 8:40 and looked in my mirror and saw a nice black g60 behind me, it turned off to wimborne i think? before i had the chance to give a wave! i was in the blue one with, highly noticeable due to the tow bar!!
  7. No worries mate. be great if you got those shocks. keep us posted! if not then just one of things.
  8. cheers for the advice! suppose its good im not the only with the problem big ted? if thats a good thing.only just noticed it, may have been like it for a while? have you had anyone pulling on it... i noticed it after my mum tried opening the boot by pulling on the spoiler!!! needless to say i jumped out and quickly pushed her off it! ill have to give it a dab of oil then and hopefully this will help. any specific oil or just some good old wd40? as for the temp an oil cooler would be great but as funds go im a bit resricted! short term looking to get a cold air feed in to the bottom of a drilled air box to help with some cool air, do this via the carbon canister removal! And neil surprised you didnt recognise it was me? craig! i no where john lives. hopefully be down there the end of sept with my hard earned cash! hope things are well down your end :)
  9. Was driving my g60 earlier on today on the motorway so managed to get the spoiler up a few times legally! and noticed sometimes it would only rise about halfway to three quarters up? when i pressed the manual switch it went up the last bit and then back down when i hit 12 etc. it was raining and bit windy and i had the rear wiper on and off, dont no if this had an effect. just wandering if anyone had any other similar probs? also i noticed a slight burning smell very faintly and just happened to check the oil temp and it was up at 124 'c! i no g60's run hot but whats a temp when i should start worrying about things? its all standard under the bonnet and thats the hottest its ever been, was doing near a ton though but still wouldnt have thought that temp? Cheers.
  10. in my blue g60 on friday 22nd saw a green vr i think. was heading down barrack road, christchurch by the tesco garage. gave the obligatory nod. about 6:30. also nearer 7 saw a puprly red vr driving down wallisdown road heading towards bournemouth uni direction. got a wave from the driver. nice to see other c drivers on my trip. bit of class on the roads for a change :) anyone on here?
  11. Saw a blue g60 with a tow bar in dorchester by the keep. had a tow bar on the back. was exactly the same as mine. turned a corner before i could flash! also a green vr6 parked next to me while i was in halfords. looked mint with beige leather. thirdly a green g60 always parked near the cross roads just up from boscombe pier?
