Not sure if anyones posted this before but with in the last week ive had a call from this no. 07089705208 on my new phone and old one, and it hangs up when you answer it. wanting to know who it is i rang them back and no one picked up! i know its not a lot but on my bill ive been charged about 20p for letting it ring for around 10 seconds! and around 50p on my other no. obviously this adds up if a lot of people are caught out! im on contract with free minutes and this is a premium no. so not sure if it would cost more from payg? just thought id try and stop the bastards making money off us!

cheers, try and look on the bright side i guess, your right gaz it was better for it to happen there than on the dual carriageway! A few people don't really rate exhausts as giving an increase in power so i may have been a bit optimistic in hoping for a gain! as for the decat and charger, i think these will complement other mods a lot better like if i get a chip and pulley. all the mods will work better with each other! i hope. at the mo theres still the restrictions on air flow etc so hopefully ill see bigger gains when its chipped etc rather than just a chip and pulley with out the existing work! we'll have to see!

well, just got back from a rr day at janspeed in salisbury with my mate off the clio sport forum! im always too late for the vw ones. anyway there were 30 cars in all, a lot of the same clios, 172, 182 cup etc with 3 nice 1.8 16v's and a 1.8t! and then us few stragglers with my c, a v6 fto, scooby, almera gti, 206 gti 180, a civic type r and 1.8 vtec? From the results there was hardly any difference between the 172 and 182's. both sounded nice with similar figures. the 16v's were pretty good, with one at 115 at the wheels with only an exhaust mod. v6 fto was around 160 at the wheels, almera 122 atw, civic type r 180 atw and 1.8 the same and the 1.8 t similar figures too! but the scooby had the most of the day with 280 atw! sounded awesome! Anyway as usual someone had to break down, thus stepped up the C! everyone commented on the looks and how it sounded which was nice and i was proud to see it going on the rollers, i said im only expecting around the standard power what with my mods. the runs went ok, the guy revved evryones car to the limit except mine as it was a bit old he said so just went to 6k instead! (what about the 1.8 16v's) I got 126.50 bhp atw and 131.68 lbs/ft torque! anyone think this is low for the mods? working on the other results it was estimated that there was a loss of 20%. would have secretly hoped for a bit more but was all happy, untill!!!!! as the car was running down a twang went and then a banging sound! they stopped the engine and saw the belt had ripped and was banging against the alternater cover! it turns out the belt tensioner pulley bearing had gone so the pulley was wobbling but also had dug into the belt causing it to rip the edge thread! i had to be pushed out of the garage in front of everyone and janspeed put it in there workshop! where its had to stay and i had to get a lift home!!! in a clio! i couldn't believe it a clio rr day and my c breaks down!!! there was of course one or two clio problems but nothing serious. Of all the times my c could have let me down! so now janspeed will fix it and ive got to collect it later in the week somehow, and im off to portugal next week so im absolutley skint :( im now depressed and randomly i now want an audi s2! just to make the c jealous! At least if i get a chip and pulley ill be able to see what difference it made if i make it through another rr day! hers a pic of the damage (not too clear) and a vid of my run but its off my phone so its a bit poor quality

not the expert here mate but if the shocks are good you can just get some shorter springs! if youve got more cash then get new suspension! comes in varying levels of price and quality ranging from about £200-£700 for adjustable coilovers? think theres lowering caps that go on the front and lower it slightly! sure someone else will correct me if im wrong or add other options! nice looking c by the way m8! bet you cant wait for your license :)
-
triggermyson, yeah cant wait to go! ive got my cousins wedding in rotherham!!! where im from at the weekend then head back monday straight to the gig! think the tickets sold out in something stupid like 2 hours!
-
gota say its been arctic monkeys all week! plus a lot of their their tracks that came off the net and are not on the album! got tickets to see them at the bic in april! 8)
-
think it looks a bit lower! a side shot would help! looks nice and shiny tho!
-
welcome to the forum mate! just wandering how can you afford a g60 at 15! youve got to wait 2 years before you can even drive it! legally of course! anyway good luck with the car! g60's bring loads of smiles if kept happy
-
got the car back then! glad your pleased with the result! certainly looks like a nice job! look so much smoother now without poking out handles!
-
well a 190 bhp vr6 will definately be a vast improvement. 0-60 in about 6.7! and 145ish top speed. iirc being a g60 owner!!
-
lol, at least the wife can give you some compensation! cheers for the help tho, just not too keen on the idea of attacking my c with paint thinner! but if i can't find another way then so be it!
-
just got home from uni and must have driven past about half a dozen sets of traffic lights due to road works and ive noticed there's little specks of white paint all over my c! its all up the bonnet, windscreen, both wings and rear panels! F@#* knows how its got literally everywhere! gave it a wipe with a polishing cloth but it seems fairly stuck on! is there anything i can use to get it off easily with out affecting the paintwork? bloody council trying to spend their budget! ill give them a bill for a respray and see how they like that! :)
-
the anniversary already has a decent 1.8t with a healthy 180 bhp so could start from there if that wasnt enough? the interiors are quite nice too with a few extra styling goodies :)
-
how much are the anniversary mk 4 golfs going for these days? start at around 10k dont they? i think they look mint, more than a gti but substitute to an r32. petrols 180 brake and the diesel 150 iirc?
-
got it from uni today. looks good guys. wish i could have gone :( maybe if there was one nearer in the south!
-
probably too common and old but a scooby or evo always looks nice! if thats your thing? or has this just opened a whole new can of worms!! :)
-
i think you'll be able to get away with it being black! cant say that ive seen it for myself tho! think i may just buy the normal grill without the eyebrow piece and if i dont like it, it can go back up on ebay! :)
-
are you going to get that sprayed! not sure how it would look standard black, im torn between the plain one and the one above, aargh  choices
-
thats what ive being looking at, new with ebay so bear with but if i payed by paypal would they just take the money out as normal? these grills on the uk ebay are about £60! think they'd need to be painted tho? what do you think?
-
ive been thinking of a grill for a while but unsure which to get, either the normal debadged one or the the one mentioned above with the eyebrow spoiler. wouldnt mind getting one painted. in every pic ive seen tho they all seem to look different on each car! some look good, others bad!!
-
Yeah bit of a short clip compared to what some other cars got! slightly disapointing! Yeah those deltas look nice, great to drive i bet
-
:( crx at 68! enzo was in the 90's i think! just a jumble of some great cars, not necessarily in the best order! i know there supposed to be in the order of most popular but that doesn't always justify a good car!
-
Just seen the rado at no. 76 on men and motors now, know there was an old post about a car needing to be supplied! bit of a short clip compared to the other cars :( still they all loved it!
-
Sucks mate but its always more expensive when your starting up your own policy, thats the disadvantage of using your dads insurance! i was paying £2200 on a 1.4 se mk3 golf at 17! but now ive got 2 yrs ncb and pay £1600 fc on a g60! unlikely as it sounds the 2.0 16v was more to insure than a g60! so was a 2.0 8v!! I think it was due to the engine capacity. maybe worth getting a quote to see what a g60 would be, i did and was chuffed at the outcome :)
