  1. awesome machine. my mate has a black mr2 turbo, lowered80mm and 18's running 280 bhp. handling in the wets a bit tricky though. accelerations like nothing I've been in.
  2. who can I contact (or web page) to find out about either of these? BHP increase, fitting and (most importantly) costs?
  3. perhaps running 7.5 is why people get constant fouling of the tyres when running lowered kits and 17's. I know I do!! :(
  4. check your fuel filter. I got some dodgy fuel and my rado would idle, but any accelerating caused it to drag like the engine mounts were shagged, then it would cut out at 1500 revs. full strip, clean/replacement of the fuel lines, tank and filters sorted it (at the cost of the garage where I filled up)

F 1's are the ONLY tyre I'd put on. Read the reviews children!! not THAT  !! dear either!!
  6. chuffed for ya mate
  7. wheel bearing mate, and its your right one. it only makes the noise when under pressure i.e. turning left Did you buy your rado as a kit car?

    STORM advice

are the campaigns the ones with (imo) the really garey red leather interior that looks like michael myers  has had a family reunion in it?
  10. Rams, cheers for the reply but I went home last nite and pricked about for a while and got it working!!! THe problem was the brass contact on the column wasnt pulled out enough to make the earth contact. the two wires were connected by connecting the black wire to the left terminal on the back of the horn push then earthing the other through the centre nut that holds the steering wheel on. the only problem I have now is that the horn doesnt always work but I think that due to the greasey film on the back of the boss!!! Cheers!! Mark.
  11. Hmmm, So you double back on the two terminals at the back of the horn push, then connect one side to the black wire that runs through the back of the boss???? can I just connect the black wire to one of the terminals and then earth the other through the bolt that holds the steering wheel on?
  12. folks, Fitted a new momo race steering wheel to my rado the other day but can't get the horn to work. obviously im not doing something silly but am too stupid to work out what? Anybody please help, cos I can't doot doot at all the lovely ladies in my area!!!
  13. followed a guy in a prelude 2.2. first dual carraigeway he pulled into the fast lane, me up his arse, he pulled over flooring it, past him no probs, he was smiling the whole time,he fell back, flashed his lights, waved. RESPECT. Stuck to the arse of a 944 for about 3 mile, he had to turn off with a face like thunder cos I kept up with him the whole way but he did give a curt wave!!! RESPECT ex girlfreinds brother raced me in his scooby (alledgedly 350 bhp!!!) overtook me at 110 mph. I smiled, waved and fell back. RESPECT moral is, if you know your beat, accept it!! I passed a 20 million pound bodykitted clio at 60 mph. the rest of the journey he kept pestering the life out of me. WANKER
  14. Put a new set of 17's on the vr two months ago, and got her lowered yesterday 35-40mm. I'm seriously contemplating whacking a stonkin set of 18's on her but not sure what the drawbacks are or if its a good idea or not? anyone got 18's holding them to the road?
  15. I'll be there along with my mate!! flyin in on fri with our three man tent in tow, need a dirt cheap B+B for sunday nite tho??? I hear the events a non-drinking bout!!!! Good job, considering I'm a tee-totaller
  16. damn potholes that wreck my brand new shiny alloys. there one road work on my way home from from town that was at least 4 inches deep. now I have a lovely buckle in my front passenger alloy. lovely laydees wearing short skirts and tight tops. I'm definitely gonna write my car off because of them!!!
  17. its there to flick up at lights to impress the chicks sitting behind you!! and also possibly to cause a rear end collision by someone driving into you cos their too engrossed in 'hey, his spoiler disappearing into his car' to brake!!! Mine pops up at 57 mph which is just about right, cos if you overtake someone on a normal road its just popping up as you you pull back in front of them. But then I'm just a posey git!!
  18. I've one of these sitting at a m8's whose spraying it for me. whats the best way to fit it , also the lugs for attaching to the old grille mounts seem a bit flimsy. Do I just glue the entire thing in place, or pilot hole and self tap, r both. Anyone know an easy way. theres a full bag of 'stuff' for fitting but unfortunately the instructions are in German? Cheers!
  19. the newer ones have a space of 80mm between the end of the spring and the first coil. the older ones are only 65mm so they should sit lower. the shocks are the same, only the springs are different!!!. but if you get coilovers theres no problem!! Ripleys believe it or not!!!!
  20. mines a sept model so I'm going to take the risk and order the 94-96 ones. Can't be far wrong. Took the wheel off, then said' bollocks to that, put it back on, and went cruising instead!
  21. just went to purchase a lowering kit and have been told by AVO that there are two kits for the 94 VR6 (91-94) and 94-96). They said the ONLY way to tell was to strip the shocks in the rado, and see whether the end spring diameter was 65mm or 80mm. Surely there must be an eaasier way of determining which kit is required (or indeed which model my rado is?) any one any of pearls of wisdom on this subject. Its prob a bit late now as I have to have them orederd in the morning or I wont have them by sat. so I'm off home now to strip the bstard. I'll let you's know how I get on. by the way, hi to everyone as this is my first post. just found out about this forum because its been down (apparantly) and someone was asking about it over on clubgti. Cheers
