Just fitted coilovers to my car, however I've only been able to lower it by about 20-25mm because of the speed bumps round my house :( And it still catches the spoiler at that! Anybody tried lopping a bit off the bottom of their spoiler? EDIT - I cut the bottom 20 mm off it yesterday, and the results are surprisingly good! Dropped it a bit more on the coilovers, well chuffed now :D

Yup it was replaced a couple of months ago! As I say, I *think* the physical temps are fine, but something is reading wrong!

Reason for asking is I have a lovely new set of poly bushes sitting at home for a mk2 and they need a home :) I know the rear axle bushes won't fit, what about the ones for the front end though?

Well it's not the thermostat, I've just replaced that. So what sensors should I try replacing, and where are they? I'm now pretty sure the engine is actually getting up to temperature fine, because the fan kicks in and it shouldn't do that until 94 degrees, am I right? So something is reading wrong, but what? :roll: :?

I can never work out wheel sizes and et numbers so just a quick one.... Will 7.5" x 17" with et21 wheels fit nicely onto a VR6? What would be the optimal et value for 17s?

Strange one this.... First off, am I right in thinking the pump should prime for a couple of seconds? When I turn on the ignition in mine, the relay clicks rapidly for a random length of time, sometimes only once, sometimes continuously! It clicks a few times per second, 4 or 5 maybe. :? I've replaced the relay so it's not that....

Here's mine, done a couple of weeks ago. Masked off the reversing light, and masked off 2mm stripes in the indicator part to keep it flashing orange. And it worked! In daylight they flash completely orange, if it's dark they are red/orangey but acceptable. I am so chuffed with them, you have to look really hard to see the orange stripes :D 8)

I'm after a set of coilovers for a VR6, most likely Koni or H&R. Where can I get them from (ie where is the cheapest)? Thanks

The fan works fine, and behaves as it should. Thinking about it, could it be a sticky thermostat? Stuck open all the time? I love being a Corrado owner :roll: :lol:

Finally took the VR out on it's first proper run in 2 months, and the temps were behaving a bit strangely. It took aaaaaages for the oil to warm up, it sat around 64-66 for a while and eventually (after 20 mins) reached 72-74. The water sat firmly on 70 for ages, until I stopped still for a minute and it shot up to just over 100. Then soon as I got going again it dropped almost immediately to 70! What's going on?!?!

If you want Synta silver delivered from GSF all you have to do is ask them, it's not listed on the site but they will do it if you add it in the comments box on your order :wink:

Could one of you helpful chaps do me a wee favour - could you post a pic of how low your Corrado is (and estimate how many mm it is lowered), and secondly measure the clearance off the ground of the front chin spoiler please? The reason is, my house is at the wrong end of a series of massive speedbumps, and I'm trying to work out how much I could lower my car by and still be able to get out of my street!

I've just bought a lovely VR6 at the weekend but it had a couple of problems on the way home. I was driving at about 70 and had to pull over when the dash lights all went dim and the water light started flashing. The water temp briefly reached 110, oil temp about 100. I then discovered the aux belt tensioner had broken, and the coolant system had boiled over - steam everywhere and coolant pissing out. I have also since discovered that the electric water pump is leaking. Now the questions - there was no sign of the water light coming on until seconds before i pulled over, so surely the level can't have dropped that much and caused it to overheat? If I take off the bottom radiator hose should this drain the system? Because it's just trickling out pretty slowly..... I've used a hose to put some pressure into the top rad hose and it's not going anywhere fast. Is this just cause the thermostat is closed?

Do you mean the download stops or the video stops? My copy of the vid stops, but if you grab the slider and put it a couple of seconds past that point u get the rest of it fine.

So can you fit an old style bonnet to a VR? Or was that the whole point of the change....?

Probably an impossible question to answer but - how many of the original 500 are left do you reckon? I saw one a few weeks back in a multi storey in Aberdeen and it had been neglected, lots of rust on it, very corroded wheels etc etc and I saw the owner too - a middle aged woman in a business suit. Felt like giving her a right slap!
