He's not joking, mine exploded at 70mph taking most of the belt with it and I had to get towed home by the AA! :(
-
Yeah the mount will come out no probs (hopefully). Thanks for the help guys.

I've broken the main bolt which goes into the top of the rear engine mount. Anyone know what size it is? Or the part number?

Is the fuel pump supposed to pulse when it's priming?
diggerbucket replied to diggerbucket's topic in Engine Bay
Tried that, got a new relay so it's not that. Any more ideas? -

Hmm well on mine you can hear the relay clicking a few times :? So something is screwed, now what could it be  -
Is the fuel pump supposed to pulse when it's priming? Cos mine does, sometimes just once, sometimes a few times :?
-
It could be that one of your cables has snapped, so your handbrake is only working one one side.

Thanks Campbell will bear that in mind when I get round to changing mine :)

Worst thing some has said about ur Corrado
diggerbucket replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
I know someone who insists on calling it a Corroda  -
Well after much head scratching I've finally found why my VR6 has eaten 2 auxiliary belts in 1500 miles of driving. My dad was having a look at it and after about 15 mintues of examining it to see if the pulleys were out of alignment he says "erm, why does the alternator pulley only have 6 grooves and all the others have 7?" Brilliant, looks like somebody has replaced the alternator sometime in the past with the wrong one :x So, does anyone know if the pulley can be replaced on its own? Looks like the thing is gonna have to come out completely anyway - and it looks like a pig of a job, I can't see any easy way of getting it out!

Quick question - Brake bias valve adjustment
diggerbucket replied to diggerbucket's topic in Drivetrain
Oh and it's a VR if that makes a difference. -
Just a quick one - which way do I need to adjust the bias valve to move the bias to the front a bit more? As far as I can see, i need to move the nut towards the top of the slot, because I have lowered the car, which raises the rear beam, which pulls on the regulator. Right?

Fancy selling a set?

On 15s the distance from the ground to the centre of your front wheelarch is roughly 630mm for standard suspension. Well thats what mine was, although my top mounts etc could have been a bit tired, so it might be even more than that!
-
Well they would, wouldn't they.......
-
Does anyone know anything about these wheels, like when they stopped making them and how hard they are to find. And where the best place to look might be  I have to have a set!

Has anyone cut down their 90mm spoiler? - done it
diggerbucket replied to diggerbucket's topic in Exterior
Well to be fair the main reason I went ahead and cut mine was because it had 2 massive cracks at the corners anyway. So not so much of a sin  -

diggerbucket replied to diggerbucket's topic in Exterior
Well no, it's now about 45mm lower than standard, and without the problem of catching on speed bumps, and without the silly 50mm spoiler 8)  -

Well I've done it, hacked off the bottom 20mm or so off the spoiler. Results are surprisingly good! Dropped the coilies a bit more, well chuffed now :D -

I would if I didn't have to be reminded 12 times a day just trying to get from my house to the main road  Bloody speed bumps  -

Hmm where can I get a 50mm one then? Dealer? How much? Might get a 50mm one and hack the 90mm one up as a mini project :) -
