Cheers g60green... good close up pic in that thread
-
I'm flattered that everyone wants me to see their rears :norty: However... i'd love to see a close up of someones big and shinny headlights
-
Well spotted... but i'm not bitter :x

Mines Aqua blue... anyone think body colour headlight surrounds would look good?
-
Ignore the title of the tread... your all supposed to be mind readers and although i f$%k up the title know what i mean.
-
I meant colour coding the black plastic headlight surrounds. The front headlights on a corrado have a black plastic bezzel arround the outside and i'm in two minds if this would look good black or body coloured. Have already colour coded the rear number plate surround and would recommend it to anyone... looks really good.
-
Has anyone colour coded their headlight surround? does it look good? has anyone got a pic they can post? cheers

Cam position sensor is just above the coil pack... fitting a new one isn't to much hassel but remove the coil pack to make it easy for yourself. When my cam position sensor went down i had a huge flat spot at about 5000 rpm but my car never missed. A replacement sensor was about £25 for GFS if memory serves.

How much does a GT 4 put out???

RESULT :-) 8)

What an idiot... just had another look over the car and found a nice lose ignition lead.... pushed i back on and would you believe it no miss-fire. Appologies to the forum for wasting your time and appologies to my C for always thinking the worst :splat:
-
Does it sound like a coil-pack problem or does your instinct point else where i.e. somewhere cheaper than £120
-
So get the car dry and running right i.e. not no mis-fire and then spray the coil pack with water. Are there any visable signs or any multi meter quick checks??
-
Just taken my VR6 out of the garage for a blast... seemed fine to begin with but after a while developed a mis-fire low down in the rev range. This seem to clear if you gave it a boot full but even then i'm sure it didn't pull as strongly as normal. Its a bit wet out so maybe this effected the running and i'm sure this has happened before in the wet. Its a 94 VR6 so has a coil pack... Its recently had new leads and plugs as part of a head rebuild. Could a coil pack cause this mis-fire... how can you test a coil pack... will VAG COM tell me (i'm expecting a OBD2 lead any day now)

Best of luck mate... let us know how it turns out. What the most powerful NA 12v vr6 unit?
-
What the most powerful NA VR6 people know of? What the most powerful VR6 people know of? What the most powerful Corrado people know of?
-
Ive turned into a old fart since ive had the C ????
Dixxy replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in General Car Chat
I don't often drive my VR6 as i've got a diesel run about. When i do tho i can't help give it a boot full (when the oils up to temp) and it still puts a huge smile on my face even a couple of years on... when it stops doing that it'll be time to sell -
Sounds alot like a ball joint to me

Welcome to the forum... bet you can't wait to get the charger back together... nice C... always did like dragon green
-
Cheers Furki.... I like them... still VAG but not standard for a VR

NickVR6 - Cover was built a friend. Ice White Socks - BMC makes a lot of noise if you don't use the air ducting pipe supplied with it. I've moved the Carbon Canister and use the hole to route the air ducting to the bumper... if you use this ducting it really silences the BMC. Rolling road - its only just had the work finished by Grant.. we're hoping for 225 - 230 but haven't run it yet. It was running at 200 with just the BMC and TB. Yeah... fair comment about the colour.. would have loved a silver one but there's no denying the purply/blue effect on my C looks cracking in the fading light!!!!!
