Yeah good point... Jacked it up last night and did use the clutch housing... The hole align perfectly so i'm sure a bolt is missing... Tried the two bolts recieved from VW and niether fit. If someone has there C jacked up at the mo have a quick look and make sure im not going crazy.

Well recieve both bolts from vw and neither fit... no idea therefore whats missing but i'm sure something is.

Yeah I'm beginning to think i'm defo missing one. Does this shed any light... I've ordered both 13 and 15 from the stealers and they are deifferent. Which one do you think is missing.

Bump... Anyone been under a VR6 recently and can't shed some more light. Just been to the stealers and i think there should be a bolt. I think it should have an allen key head

Just been fitting a new Oil cooler and whilst under the car noticed that there appears to be a bolt missing for the braket connecting the engine to the front engine mount. Can anyone confirm this for me. If this is the case do you think jacking up the engine under the sump should align the bolt holes???

Looks fantastic even today - infact i think better today than ever. On my second now had a 16v now got a VR6. Makes me smile everytime i sit in it, love the noise, love the car. Look fantastic from the front esp when driving. If you've ever seen one come up behind you you'll know why people move over!! low and wide!! Always loved em... always will

Sounds like a ball joint maybe; although i had very similar symptoms and it turned out to be a bent track rod arm... This can be replaced without replacing the whole rack if it is this

Friend of mine is building a very similar engine with grant motorsport (into a MKII)... its not yet on bodies but they expect 240 plus. I love a revey 2L can't beat em for fun factor.... best of luck with this build

Chris are you going to atempt to change all of the electric switch gear from green to blue... If so what replcement LED are you using??? Wouldn't mind giving this a go myself as ive got blue illumination on my dials.

Its my windscreen thats scratched and the scratches run top to bottom and not in a wiper arch so F$#K knows how they got there... angry cats??

Chains have been done etc etc... so buy a replacment from GSF?? i was also thinking about a lightened fly wheel at the same time.

I'll soon be needing to fit a new clutch as mine is commonly slipping under load... what clutches do people recommand for the VR6. Mine is running at somewhere around 220 - 230bhp

Anyone tried this with blue EL wire? do you think it'll lokk godd as i have blue gauges.

Why do you won't to move it? I've moved mine as i needed the hole it sits in to run pipe work for my bmc cda (induction kit). My CC now rests on its side under the induction kit providing support and leaving the hole free.

Friend of mine works for renault and really rates the 172 and 182 even though he has to fix them everyday. Very fun little car to throw around... why not!!!
