Spotted a Green N-reg VR6 in Loughton High Road yesterday at around 6pm. Got a flash and gave a beep. I was in the Silver VR6. Seconds earlier I had been chatting to a random biker at the lights who was commenting on the C saying how good it looked after all these years and that you don't see many around these days. d'oh!

No damage to the nearside.....look! lol

Well, it's lasted a full 8 days before it broke! 4 more than my last one! :| Think the starter motor has had it, waiting for the RAC now! :(

At the moment it'll just be replacing a couple of bits of trim and some minor repairs to the paintwork. Would love to get some leather in it and in the future maybe drop it a little and change the rims. Just gonna enjoy it for a bit first though. Tom

Hi Picked up my new VR6 yesterday. It's standard apart from an aftermarket air filter and seems to be in fairly good condition. There are a few minor marks on the paintwork but nothing too serious I don't think. It's my second VR6 as my last one met an untimely end about 18months ago. Been driving a Polo 6n2 GTi in between and can honestly say I won't miss it a bit. Driving home yesterday I realized how much I missed the sound! Here are some pics.

About a month ago I had to replace the radiator in my VR6, ever since I got it back from the garage it's had problems starting when left for a few hours. If it's left overnight it starts 1st time with no problems and after leaving it for an hour or so it still starts 1st go. Anything longer that this and it takes a few goes to get it running then a couple of minutes before pressing the accelerator will actually increase the revs, until then it seems to make them drop. On the same day I let the petrol tank get almost empty before filling it and thought i'd blocked the fuel filter with crap from the bottom of the tank and this was what was causing the problem. Last week I changed the fuel filter and hoped this would have sorted the problem but it didn't. Has to be something to do with them replacing the radiator but i've no idea what it could be. I'm taking it in again next week for a service and MOT and just wondered if anyone has any ideas what might be causing the problem. Thanks in advance.

Had a tinker myself but nothing worked. Took it to the local VW specialist this morning. Replaced the 'fan switch' and it's working fine now. £14.99 for the part so not too bad. Cheers for the suggestions.

Cheers, i'll have a bit of a poke round during my lunch break tomorrow. Just needed a bit of an idea of what to look out for. Tom.

Just got back from a drive and on the way back the cooling fan has been on constantly. This is happening even when the ignition is on without the engine. The car isn't overheating as it occured straight away before setting off. Any ideas? It's a VR6 by the way.

Saw 3 in the last few days, one coming out of the Royal Forest pub in chingford, one Parked up outside South Woodford cinema last night and one driving down Loughton High road a couple of hours ago. I'm in a dragon green VR, M reg.
