Pretty sure a lad I know owned one which was the same colour, 2.0 16v with the same wheels too, lived in Swanwick, Derbyshire. Had a private plate though something like C20 COR, is this the same car? Pretty sure his name was Ian

I planned on keeping this for a very long time but I had a garage at a mates up the road but he sold his house and I don't want this sitting on the drive in all weathers. I have just fitted brand new AP coilovers to it and brought some wheels too. Also had the exhaust done, painted the rocker cover and manifold, bought a new mk4 expansion bottle (not fitted yet) new headlight bulbs and new manifold gasket so my intension was to not sell it. I will sell the car with the standard suspension and H&R springs for ?4450 but if you want the coilovers leaving on then the price will go up as they have done Zero miles and I have just paid over ?400 for them. They don't stop stripping you of money these things! Going to put mine away now for winter and bring my Lupo GTI out for the winter months, so if you see a silver standard car around it's me!

The Oak Green thing isn't a rare colour but it's made out to be, Bright Blue Metalic is a great colour and not as common, I think the small bumpers (pre 90) were all non PAS models too so 90 spec got power steering

Most desirable.... mk2 16v G60 Limited! The change was around 1990, as they got big bumpers, full front windows, different interiors etc 8v was 112bhp and 16v was 139bhp, 16v was the one to go for and probably command a premium still over the 8v but to be honest it's all about condition really I would go G60 though, awesome cars Rust is going to be your main problem on them especially behind the bodykit

That does look good, prefer it without the eyebrow though. Standard cars do seem to look very classy
