Ray your not far from me, if your not sure pop down and i'll take you out for a spin
-
Just had a good 2 hour drive after fitting the AP's, really pleased with them. Ride is firmer but that's to be expected other than that it's all good!
-
Weight does seem to be a problem from what I'm reading, I just want a nice set of rims!
-
When I had the R32 there was a place that custom made them I think for about £30 each, can't for the life of me remember where though
-
I quite like the look of these and they seem a pretty decent fitment for the VR6, anybody run them or have info on them? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-X-CH-STYLE-ALLOY-WHEELS-5X100-17X7-5-ET35-GOLF-MK4-VW-/221520398815?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3393a509df Adam

I'm trying this before I need a more permanent solution, the tapes not cheap but should hold, I hope!
-
Mine broke the other daay, pulled into work and it was hanging off. I used No Nails tape to hold mine on (the black tub) Hasn't fell off yet but then again I haven't driven it since. Stuck the tape to the raised metal bits behind the tub.. Think a Heritage on is around £60

Will you be re drilling standard hubs?
-
Anybody know where I could find a seat cover that fits the standard Corrado Recaro seats or will it be a custom made thing? If so anybody point me in the right direction for this? Any pics to what your are using? Just got a cheap thing on at the minute and it's terrible!
-
Awesome car! Love the USB port where the cig lighter lived looks proper! Did the Merc wheels make it onto the car with the 5x112 hubs?
-
Good work on the matrix, done it myself, not a good job but a satisfying one! Your foam looked like new! Love the Rota's, this is what I'm after really for mine but nothing like this ever comes up for sale. Looks great

Yes they are 17's, I don't think the tyres are doing them any favours at 205 plus the car isn't really low, once some 195's go on and more of a drop it will start to pull them off a bit more. They do look big in the photos but the car wears them quite well in the metal They won't be fully on till next year properly unless they sell -
Do you live just off Brackendale Road? I lived on Brackendale for 20 odd years

Yeah it's Adam's, he's 20vt it himself and got it all up and running so he's done well. Saw those Jeep wheels on his so bought some for my VR6! The blue isn't a standard colour but it's not far off from what it was -

I need to get back driving this, just sat in the garage doing nothing which gives me thoughts of selling. Just need to shift my Lupo GTI and it will be out again. Looking at moving the RC's on for something different but undecided as to what yet, 17" Compomotives at the top of the list or something else in 17" Or I could just sell and buy a mk5 GTI. I hate cars. -
If they are not that wide they should tuck well (if 7.5) I've got BBS RC's in 16 x 7.5 form which I want to sell to go 17's soon, I just think that you need to think a little more when it comes to getting 17's to sit 'right' Bill- CH's looked the biz
-
All depends on the fit, ET's, tyres widths etc. Some look over wheeled but most when thought about look just right. 17's gives you that little bit more clearance too

I'm only down the road from him on Somercotes Hill, got a moonlight blue VR6. I take most my cars to John have done for years!
