Toyo T1-R tyres ....Are these very good or only average?
red corrado16v replied to matth76's topic in Exterior
I have T1-Rs on my Corrado in 195-45-16s all round, i've got to say that there excellent and provide bags of feedback, excellent wet weather grip and are wearing very well, will defo fit again in the future. Good price as well. £260 including VAT, fitting and nitrogen inflation. From Westgate Tyres, Morcambe. -
Now im'e old and getting lazy i would like to fit an aftermarket remote central locking kit with a blipper, my car allready has c/l. Can anyone recomend a kit?, or has any one fitted one?. Obviously needs to be secure, my car has no security system fitted and would prefer to leave it that way so an alarm system is out of the question.

Had a look the outher day and found some of my relays and fuses were a little loose, probably unrelated but it has'nt done it for a while now.Worth a try!

looked at the wiring and all seems to be fine, are these vdo clocks prone to problems ?

Has anyone else had a problem like this?.My car is a 1990 (G) Corrado 1.8 16valve. My oil pressure warning system keeps going off for a few fractions of a second with the buzzer blipping at the same time. Seems to do it when the car is warming up more so than when its at full temperature. Every now and then warning alarm wont go off until the engine has been switched off. It started doing it around 3 months ago so i changed both oil pressure switches (0.3 and 8 bar) fully flushed the engine with a quality engine flush, changed oil for a non synthetic oil and replaced the oil filter. I also had the oil pressure checked and was told it was fine. I thought this would cure it but it returned a few weeks later. It has been suggested to me that the VDO clocks can develop a fault with the curcuit boards that control the oil pressure system. Has anybody else seen this before?. I have also noticed that the top half of the MFA screen keeps going dimmer than the bottom half, could it be conected?. Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Will have to keep an eye on this one !I live no where near you guys, but my car has exactly the same spoting on the bonnet as yours. I purchased my car from Wolverhampton, and this spotting appeared a few weeks later, spend a lot of time and money trying to get rid of it (not had it painted....yet!).Vanishes after a good polish using autoglym silicone resin polish and then extra gloss protection, but will allways reappear after a week or so. Mate of mine suggested a Farecla trade only cutting compound...but i am having some difficulty finding some. Going to see a paint specialist to try to find a remedy.

Sold my mkII to buy my Corrado and still miss it to this day :( It was a 90 big bumper in white, uprated suspension, roll cage, stripped out interior. Not particularly a good one but was loads of fun. Did a couple of track days in it....Fantastic.

If its got no tax and test then you are running the risk of being stopped :lcop:, any car being towed outher than on a trailer HAS to be t&t and insured, purely because it is in contact with the road. Try phoning a local garage and ask for a fixed price collection, there are also loads of people on ebay that offer a collection service, if they can collect a couple of vehicles from the same area at the same time it could work out cheaper. Try asking someone down the pub, theres allways someone(mate of a mate of a mate) with a landrover & trailer willing to earn a few bob.

red corrado16v replied to red corrado16v's topic in General Car Chat
Good advice...don't want to see any of these :lcop:. kind of hoping they will be that busy nicking outher people that they will ignore us......after all them old 911's ar'nt that fast...are they? We'll just be following the outher 99,999 people in stupidly fast cars down there and enjoying the ride. At least we'll be sitting on the right side of the car when we get to France as it's a left hand drive. -
Cheers, do you have a number for them or do they have a web site i can visit.

Complete Suspension and Steering Overhall !!!
red corrado16v replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in Drivetrain
Just doing mine today, word of warning BRETTLOVEDAY,get your self some new brake hoses flexi and fixed as mine where seized solid and had to be cut off before i could remove rear axle to fit new bushes(polysport)http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=533_741_761&products_id=5127 this will also make the job far easyer when you come to refit the axle as everything is all new. If youve got access to a brake line flaring kit make yourself some new brake lines for the rear axle while it is off,I bought some brake line (40p per foot)and new fittings (12p each)from a local motor factors.Good luck, very satisfying to know you have done it all yourself and saved a bundle in the process. -
Yes it was, thought the name was familiar.....Car looks fantastic  .Is it the same car you came to collect the teledials in?.
-
Andy t..... Will you be selling the wheels or keeping hold of them.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
red corrado16v replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Took rear axel off in readyness for new rear bushes, fitting coilovers and some goodridge hoses (when i can identify which kit i need!)rear bushes were totally screwed, all the brake lines were seized, obviously never been off the car since birth.Next job new bottom ball joints, track rod ends and wishbone bushes. Then its off to get the tracking set and the camber set.
