i would buy the used one have it shot blasted and powder coated this would still cost you under £100 and look like new.

looking good paul, some nice progress there. how did you remove the sealent in the engine bay.

yea i will have to track a van down to ask for a swap

started to strip down the engine for inspection, clean up and paint (not decided on the colour for the block yet :? )

just a few updated pics of what i have been doing nearly finished wings just a few more skims of fillar and sanding down untill happy

i have just got one off quicky on here. been looking at front ends for it also will need car power supply so i will give you a shout :wink: :lol: . . what o/s are you thinking of using for it??

have a look on ebay a lot of shops sell on there now. or you could try autopaint.

that would be it , i read some where the early ones are prone to cracking /braking up. whats the visible differences between them both??

when you say 5 litres is that altogether i.e primer, base and lacquer. or is that 5 litres of each which seems alot. the 50/50 mix was thinners/base but that was the manufactures instructions. i was going to tackle the engine bay and under arches myself that way i can carry on with installing my engine and running gear before having to ship the car off to a body shop to get the rest done as my garage is not big enough to spray in otherwise i would have done the full car. and it is the cellulose i going to use.

hi looking at a full respray soon and was wondering how much i would need for a good finish i.e min 2 coats. found a supplier who does one and is mixed 50/50. thanks
