  1. For under a tenner, that quality is amazing, just bought 2, thanks for letting us know! 8)
  2. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=21761 What a shame!!! How could ANYONE let this happen to the XJ220??? :cuckoo: :cuckoo:
  3. The world would be a boring place without these type of people! :D
  4. For me the first time I saw one, i fell in love with the way it looked, my opinion it has an aggressiveness about it that you dont get nowadays, the shape is timeless. I have seen mine parked up next to much more expensive prestigious cars (namely an Aston Martin that I'm thinking about at the moment) and ok I might be biased, but it didnt look out of place. The looks is one thing, the way it makes you feel when you drive it is another thing. It is pure pleasure driving one, no gimmicks, nothing to interfere with the driving experience. The feedback is amazing on the car, makes you feel at one with the car, HUGE smiles at the end of a great blast down a nice road! The handling is something to talk about, the VR engine is something to talk about, the damned space in the rear is a lot more than most current coupes. I've had mine near enough 5yrs now, and I still dont see me ever getting rid of it! I'd rather spend lots on it, to the point of it being uneconomical to keep rather than get rid of it!
  5. +1 !!! And since you know what you're doing, it would be even more of a waste, it would be different if you didnt what you were doing. I say get stuck in! I wish I had the knowledge & skills, I would do the rebuild!
  6. Hehehe, no no, of course you dont know what I mean  Ya know, I never thought I'd hear you say that you'd rather someone else did it, but fair do's. My problem isn't that I would complain of the cold or broken spine or frozen plums, my problem is I wouldn't have a clue what the f00k to do
  7. Is there any way someone can post a picture of this connector in the engine bay please? I'm not the most technically minded, I might end up looking up something totally different...
  8. Ok, checked the fuse and not a problem. Checked connector beside the gear selector and from what i could tell it seems to be fine. I'm not sure about this other box which I need to check where the circuit is completed though? Can someone please post up pics of what I need to check?
  9. Just my opinion, but I dont like them
  10. Well, it didnt say that it didnt run, he just said he didnt try and start her up. I'm happy to live in my happy land thank you very much!! But still, imagine that, if you were in his place, I bet you'd be chuffed 8)
  11. Anyone seen this? Left mouse button, or mouse button if using a Mac
  12. Both times I let them know 2-3 weeks in advance at least. I reckon that's a minimum to be on the safe side dependant on how busy they but I reckon someone who knows Vince better than I do might be able to give you a better answer. In regards to how long I left it, well both times I had a lot of work done, the first time they had my car for over a week and the second time they had it for over 2 weeks, closer to 3 weeks I think it was.
  13. None that I know of that I would rate as highly. I have travelled from Scotland to get to Stealth, twice, and on both accounts I don't regret it. In fact, if it was feasible, I would go there for even the simplest of the jobs.
  14. Hmm, I've not sat in the RS seats (or the DC5 seats) but I wasn't massively impressed with the Focus ST seats. I dont know, I just think the interior doesn't seem to be "special enough" to go along with "special RS500" name. Hehe, funnily enough, I am really fond of the exterior, does that make me a chav?
  15. Dont like the interior though... Clicky
  16. VERY nice!!! Go for it, buy it, put a deposit down, get your order in, hand over your cash, take the keys!!! :D That's one mean look bugga! I would love to have one!
  17. Excellent news, well happy for you!
  18. I tried the Platinum stuff and my VR (with around 105k miles) didnt like, went through a fair bit of it. Went back to the Synta Silver stuff and its fine, imo the Silver is a little too thin.
  19. That first pic looks the bloody business!!!
  20. Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that! I was fairly happy with them to start with, but now that I've started to push them further, they're not as impressive as they lead you to believe, which I suppose is ok given the price, for what they cost they're fine. In the wet I've had wheelspin in the same situations where the ContiSports2 were absolutely fine. It's not that I can't wait to get rid of them, but they're nothing special. I would still have them on my shortlist, but like you, only as a reserve if I wasn't able to get a hold of anything better. Funnily enough, they're still much MUCH better than the Toyo Proxes T1S that were on the car when I bought it in 2005. I think my favourite tyre (taken into account the price/value) still has to be the Uniroyal Rainsports.
  21. Thanks for posting that up. No matter how many good reviews you read and how much you already know it being a great engine & car, its always welcomed to read another good review!
  22. Schitt mate!!! Absolutely gutted for you!!!!!!! Hope the insurance helps a little :(
  23. Cheers Kev! :D Honestly, I've started to dream about the damned thing now its getting to me that much haha! It's a pity you live so far away...
  24. A guy took me out in his GTR, pushing around 570-ish bhp around some back roads where he lives in Banchory. FOOK ME that thing is a lethal machine!!    I'm sure some cars might be able to keep up in a straight lines cos of the mods etc, but around the bends, no chance!!! He said he test drove an R8 and the Gallardo before test driving this and went for this over those 2 cos of how much quicker it was. He was taking some bends at jsut silly speeds and the car just hangs on for dear life! It's totally mind boggling how the hell it does it!! Pick mine up the 25th of May 8)
