  1. Looking good squire! 8) If you are on a budget get yourself a fat chick.... that will lower it some
  2. have heard its a great upgrade & as big as you can go while keeping 15s. Despite the disc only gaining 8mm the surface area of the pad is much greater....... for me im going down the 323 & brembo 4 pots but it depends on what you want really. @smudge - Stealth are a good bet as they know VRs pretty dam well and have done this job plenty of times! :D PS - :worthless:
  3. nice one Matt!! how is the brake upgrade coming along??
  4. get your local place to do the brakes as this will probably be cheaper...... if you want the car mapping to make the most of your new cams then you may as well go to Stealth IMO.
  5. mmmm not be popping there for a bite then! Yeah real good news on Karman! :D
  6. IMO NO!!! ive been in cars with both & the Miltek is far nicer noise. I believe there are issues with quality of fit but im after a mitek when the time comes :D No - Magnex are far supperior to Milltek, one they fit and 2 the grade of stainless is far better - I've seen 10 year old Magnex's that still look brand new... compre that to a 5 year old Milltek! Assuming the new ones are the same quaility of course! I guess its down to personal choice then!! I love how the Miltek sounds - as said IMO
  7. I want ham!! Im thinking a roast pork sarnie from the butchers is a good start :D How far away is Dortmund?
  8. eh? :D you say 17s are not 2 piece? RX2s are spilt if 16,17 or any other size surely? :confused4:
  9. just over a week & ill be back in the land of ham!! Middle East doesnt know what its missing!! Where to start on my mission of swine??
  10. @ Jonny VW im not sure they do but google it mate as its all over the place these days. Land of leather sell it too if they are still going? Its the business :D
  11. IMO NO!!! ive been in cars with both & the Miltek is far nicer noise. I believe there are issues with quality of fit but im after a mitek when the time comes :D
  12.  does the dye take to the PVC "leather" sections OK?
  13. no but you have one of the best sets of wheels for big brakes so im sure you will be fine without spacers mate 8)
  14. ^^^ that is quite something considering its been out of production for so long!
  15. bring your gas mask along mate & we could scare the living hell out of most people - tripping or not!! I did get stopped by a black BM with typical black windows, chrome wheels etc once.... the guy just said "it for sale man?" was quite happy with that :D
  16. I didnt know about the drug dealer bit I did hear once that they were the most stolen car at soe point in the 90s, has anyone else heard this?
  17. Some sound advice there from another brake perve  :dorky:
  18. all VRs came with 280s mate. 312mm is a popular upgrade which it seems you know of. I will be going for Seat 323mm as others on here have, along with some Brembo 4 pots. Use the search as this topic has been discussed many a time & there is plenty of info..... hope this helps a little. I have been researching brakes for the C for a good while. In summary its down to: budget, use, engineering ability. When all these are known there is usually an obvious route :D
  19. fantastic work!! does the dye take to the non leather pieces OK?
