sorry if i'm being a bit dense but if i understand all of the above if you've got red needles you won't need to change them its just the white needles that are a problem cos mine are red

yea got original grey binder too how much of a scam ar exhausts these days built to last 2 years if ur lucky

mine is still on original exhaust at 114000 as far as i can make out i have a binder full of bills and stuff going right back to day 1 with the delivery checklist and every tax disk and mot certificate i was blown away when the guy i bought it from produced this pile of paperwork :shock: :shock:

cheers guys when my car wouldn't start one morning a garage diagnosed a dead dizzy i managed to get a replacement on ebay for £20 but i took it to bits the other night and the rotor arm and dizzy cap look pretty much knacked all black and pitted contacts so i'm going to change them over and bung it back in and see if i can get it working again cos he said at the time to get it repaired/refurbished would set me back big bucks so hopefully i'll have a spare

just found the dreaded rust on the inside of the back panel where the badge pins go through the panel just after i had a dent beaten out and re-sprayed if i had spotted it i could have had the whole panel replaced :mad: :mad: :mad: it is me or is this one of the worst design flaws yet why make a whole in a panel making a weak spot for rust attack for the sake of a badge....... just stick the bloody thing on like every other manufacturer

just got quoted this from vw in ayr replace rocker cover gasket: £21 for the gasket 2 hours labour at £42 AN HOUR :shock: :shock: £21 for a diagnostic check and if they found any faults that need fixing they would waive the charge asked about an oil change while they were at the gasket and they said on oil service was £90 :shock: :shock: didn't ask if that was just oil and filter cos i nearly fell over with shock and told them to forget the oil change i'll get the oil and filter off them and do it myself how does this sound to you guys £42 an hour is a joke if u ask me

is oil on the plugs bad if its on the threads but not near the tip or is it on or around the tip thats bad my 93 vr6 has an intermitant starting problem turns over but wont fire up starts with a bump start which i know is bad then it smells strongly of fuel for a while when it fires up
